• Respond to government and commercial software license and subscription Requests For Quote (RFQ) (new and renewal).
• Manage software inbox(es) and bid portal(s) to provide timely bid/no-bid response, quotes and contract compliance.
• Work under direction of line management to maximize bid rate, win rate and profit.
• Develop trust and relationships with agency buyers and software publisher-supplier partners
• Promote awareness of Yorktel portfolio and as/when directed prospect for new business through social media and other modalities.
• A company laptop and privileged access to Yorktel’s modern ERP/CRM systems, back-office software, office software and quote tools is provided.
• A Software Sales Specialist must be able to learn, apply and adapt new skills quickly.
• The Software Sales Specialist will learn the basics of government contract requirements to maintain compliance.
• The Software Sales Specialist is part of a team but often works independently, under supervision.
• Like all employees, the Software Sales Specialist must complete an online timecard each week.
