Sales Manager – Brand Partnerships

• Serve as first-line solutions lead for brands & agencies accessing our marketplace
• Implement scalable systems through campaign trafficking, QA, launch, delivery monitoring, and wrap
• Build the pipes and process for the business: order management, campaign workflows, reporting, and billing handoffs
• Execute and maintain the integrations brands expect, including tracking, third-party, and more
• Generate an AI-first outbound engine to drive demand and onboarding into our system
• Onboard brands and agencies, then troubleshoot fast when something breaks mid-flight
• Work with design and engineering to decide what deserves real tooling and what an ad-hoc operation can handle for now
• Write the playbooks and documentation that let the team move faster and better

Implementation Lead, Brand Partnerships

• Come up with campaign ideas that work for a brand and feel native to Substack, rather than an ad bolted onto someone's newsletter
• Match brands with the right writers and publications, using judgment about audience, voice, and what a given writer will actually agree to
• Own the creative side of the pre-sale: read the brief, build the proposal, and respond to client feedback with new concepts and pivots
• Run campaigns from idea through execution, keeping the brand, the writer, and our sales lead pointed in the same direction
• Join client and agency calls to pitch ideas and pull out the information you need to sharpen them
• Write the pitch materials, thought starters, and points of view that help brands picture what they can do on Substack
• Watch what's working across the platform and feed real examples back into the next round of ideas

Creative Strategist, Brand Partnerships

Product Manager

• Develop a deep understanding of why creators choose Substack, what their goals are, and Substack’s competitive position vs. other platforms
• Identify the “first-mile” actions that set creators up for traction and success, and define how the platform communicates, reinforces, and rewards those actions
• Map creator journeys across segments (e.g., bringing an existing audience vs. building on-network), and define activation paths that meet creators where they are
• Measure the growth of new creators and overall network health: are creators able to bring existing audiences into Substack, and also benefit from distribution within the Substack network?
• Define activation and retention metrics, build dashboards, and establish leading indicators that help teams understand what’s working (and what’s not)
• Identify gaps in product analytics and instrumentation, and partner with Data/Engineering to design solutions to fill them
• Build a compelling roadmap across short-term, medium-term, and long-term horizons to improve creator activation and early success
• Help design and spec projects across the spectrum from experiment, to feature, to large-scale initiative
• Partner with your EM counterpart to inspire and lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and analysts, creating clarity and accountability at every level
• Work closely with Product, Partnerships, Growth, and Creator teams to align activation strategy with broader company strategy
• Drive go-to-market strategy and product storytelling for activation improvements: what changed, why it matters, and how creators benefit

Product Manager – Creator Activation

• Form a deep understanding of the current state of play in our creator platform, and identify the biggest opportunities for development and growth
• Work directly with Key Enterprise Partners who build on top of Substack to synthesize their requests and package them into roadmaps for durable product features that can be used across the rest of the Substack network and ecosystem
• Ensure enterprise-facing work ladders up into reusable primitives, systems, and platform capabilities
• Build a compelling roadmap at the short term, medium term, and long term horizons
• Help design and spec projects across the spectrum from experiment, to feature, to large-scale initiative
• Partner with your EM counterpart to inspire and lead a full-stack team of engineers, designers, and product analysts, creating clarity and accountability for them at every level
• Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that your team’s product strategy and the overall company strategy are in lock-step at all times
• Fully own the product marketing and go-to-market strategy for everything the team ships

Product Manager – Enterprise

• Own internal IT operations end to end
• Administer Okta across our full tool stack — managing SSO, SCIM provisioning, and app integrations
• Onboard and offboard users across both Okta and non-Okta applications
• Add and deactivate tools in Okta as our stack evolves
• Manage and track access for vendors and contractors, ensuring appropriate permissions are granted and revoked promptly
• Own the new hire IT onboarding experience — from laptop setup to tool access on day one
• Manage device enrollment, configuration, and compliance through Iru
• Maintain hardware inventory and manage device lifecycle
• Serve as the point of contact for IT tool vendors
• Identify integration requirements for new tools and manage their setup and deprecation

• Build features across Substack to support user activation and conversion.
• Iterate on key user flows in Substack, and run A/B tests to improve activation metrics and drive growth.
• Collaborate with designers, writers, support staff, and many others. From product concept and research to implementation, experimentation, and measurement, we expect you to own your work and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work directly with customers to solve their problems. The entire company (CEO included) participates in customer support in order to drive empathy for our users and help us build better products.
