• Own end-to-end vendor and contract lifecycle for marketing, data, and digital platform vendors.
• Negotiate terms with agencies, platforms, and data providers, focusing on data elements, pixels, and performance-based marketing.
• Partner with Marketing, Data Science, Legal, IT, Finance, and InfoSec to ensure compliance, data governance, and campaign effectiveness.
• Execute sourcing strategies, drive cost savings, vendor consolidation, and procurement KPI visibility.

Senior Procurement Analyst

• Serve as the senior legal leader for Root’s Claims organization overseeing legal aspects of claims operations, litigation management, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee internal claims legal team and build/manage scalable external panel counsel program ensuring quality, alignment with litigation philosophy, and cost efficiency.
• Provide day-to-day legal counsel on coverage issues, liability assessment, bad faith prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Review and guide litigation strategy across all claim types balancing cost control with risk exposure.
• Partner with Claims Leadership, General Counsel, and Compliance to ensure compliant practices and documentation standards.
• Review complex and escalated claim files and settlement postures and advise stakeholders on claims trends, legal exposure, and reputational risk.
• Provide legal insight during audits, quarterly planning, and claims performance reviews.
• Attract, hire, develop and retain a team of high-performing legal professionals and promote fair and efficient settlement practices.
• Develop and implement national panel defense counsel program including onboarding, performance management, billing oversight, KPI frameworks, and lead RFPs and negotiations.
• Evaluate and potentially implement internal staff counsel legal team to supplement external panel defense counsel.

• Work on Quantitative Science team owning marketing capital allocation and measurement
• Build measurement and experimentation infrastructure for mid- and upper-funnel brand marketing
• Develop causal frameworks, predictive models, and tools linking brand investment to outcomes like quote starts, binds, and lifetime value
• Contribute to brand tracking and survey research and set measurement standards
• Advise stakeholders on interpreting results and allocating spend
• Prototype and test brand strategies, run structured experiments, and optimize targeting, creative, and channel mix
