Civil Engineer

• Our Civil Engineers play an important part within the Design team and alongside our client, Transport Scotland.
• As a Civil Engineer, you will provide effective support and assistance to your Design Team Leader on a variety of road schemes whilst taking the lead on projects and mentoring junior designers.
• To lead a team and to deliver technically robust engineering solutions that meet all relevant standards and client requirements.
• This includes preparing and checking designs, calculations, drawings and documentation to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective outputs delivered to programme and support work‑winning activities through bid preparation.

Engineer

• Develop effective concept design solutions that are consistent with the project brief
• Undertake a wide range of scour-related work on all aspects of the functions design and maintenance

• Provide support and assistance a Team of people working within the Pavement and Asset Management Practice to deliver a portfolio of schemes for Clients.
• Help design and delivery of multiple projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement renewal schemes ensuring the durability and safety of our roadways.
• Work in a team, assisting in producing technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of designs, calculations, drawings and documentation as part of the production of scheme deliverables.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for pavement projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop pavement maintenance and rehabilitation plans.
• Assist in evaluating the performance of pavement materials and construction techniques, including preparing survey packs and reviewing survey results.

Assistant Pavements Engineer

• Provide support and assistance to a Team of people working within the Pavement and Asset Management Practice to deliver a portfolio of schemes for Clients.
• Help design and deliver multiple projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement renewal schemes, ensuring the durability and safety of our roadways.
• Work in a team, producing technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements, working unsupervised and supervising more junior members of staff undertaking similar tasks.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation as part of the production of scheme deliverables that satisfy the overarching criteria of quality, cost and programme.
• Oversee the actions of more junior members of staff undertaking similar tasks and take responsibility for their actions.
• Assist on technical aspects of designs from project initiation through to completion.
• Review survey data to develop pavement maintenance and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with senior engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for pavement projects.
