About the role

  • Provide support and assistance a Team of people working within the Pavement and Asset Management Practice to deliver a portfolio of schemes for Clients.
  • Help design and delivery of multiple projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement renewal schemes ensuring the durability and safety of our roadways.
  • Work in a team, assisting in producing technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of designs, calculations, drawings and documentation as part of the production of scheme deliverables.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for pavement projects.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop pavement maintenance and rehabilitation plans.
  • Assist in evaluating the performance of pavement materials and construction techniques, including preparing survey packs and reviewing survey results.
  • Support the implementation of sustainable and cost-effective pavement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as required.
  • Take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of pavement design principles and materials.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in pavement engineering is a plus.
