About the role
- Provide support and assistance a Team of people working within the Pavement and Asset Management Practice to deliver a portfolio of schemes for Clients.
- Help design and delivery of multiple projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement renewal schemes ensuring the durability and safety of our roadways.
- Work in a team, assisting in producing technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of designs, calculations, drawings and documentation as part of the production of scheme deliverables.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for pavement projects.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop pavement maintenance and rehabilitation plans.
- Assist in evaluating the performance of pavement materials and construction techniques, including preparing survey packs and reviewing survey results.
- Support the implementation of sustainable and cost-effective pavement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as required.
- Take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of pavement design principles and materials.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in pavement engineering is a plus.
