Inspector

• Promote the expectation that team members will consider the impact of their work/actions on others and make deliberate decisions to act in ways which prevent rework or constraints on the process.
• The Quality Technician is a coach, cheerleader and player on the team.
• Promote systems and processes which enhance the team’s ability to meet customer expectations (NFPA 1901 regulations, Buy/Sell Agreements, UL requirements)
• Act as mediator when needed to clarify customer expectations and provide feedback to manufacturing supervision
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections of completed processes in designated buy/sell areas
• Perform data entry, analysis and sharing/explanation of information
• Generate Quality reports and be able to explain information
• Validate all critical and safety items as required by the Build Book
• Review all deviations, quality alerts, and stop shipments
• Perform audits of new and existing processes
• Writing documents and document control (examples: UL documentation, UL certifications)
• Facilitate/Participate in Root Cause Analysis, Practical Problem Solving, etc.
• Initiate non-conforming material documents for supplier quality issues
• Assist in the execution of activities which promote continuous improvement and protect customers
• Conduct training, information sharing, and orientation sessions
• Lead by example regarding safety and acting in the best interests of the team
• Provide coverage for other technicians as needed (UL and Plant Quality Techs)
• Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Smeal Management

Inspector I

• Obtain daily work assignments from the team leader or supervisor
• Inspect preparatory cleaning, application of sealant, protective coatings, and leak detection coatings of integral fuel cells
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to evaluate and coordinate improvements in build processes
• Conduct audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify that all parts and assemblies meet quality requirements
• Work with engineering and the FAA on red label equipment to ensure proper segregation from production parts

Inspector, Tooling and Machined Parts

• The inspector is responsible for quality assurance on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client, in addition to on-site inspections during the construction phase
• Communicating with the Project Managers to determine the specific requirements of a given work order, including the scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget for a particular assignment
• Communication with the Project Managers, fabrication shops, contractors, BV employees, and other third parties to resolve issues
• Ensure that the services provided are performed in accordance with the project requirements and contract with the client
• Generate, process, and/or respond to the following (included, but not limited to): timesheets, billing reports, expense reports, emails, instant messages, and inspection reports in an expeditious/thorough manner, complying with all applicable deadlines
• Communicate information from the fabrication facility regarding upcoming assignments and potential work that Bureau Veritas could perform
• Maintain a positive relationship between Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client
• Ability to work remotely, on-site, and or from established Bureau Veritas offices/work sites
• Client oriented approach with emphasis on understanding and fulfilling the needs of the client
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with ability to communicate technical issues to the Project Manager, clients, BV Employees, and the fabrication facilities.

Certified Welding Inspector

All reports must be submitted typewritten using Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat and must be electronically transmitted to the Project Manager
• Communicate information from the fabrication facility regarding upcoming assignments and potential work that Bureau Veritas could perform
• Maintain a positive relationship between Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client

• The Quality Inspector (or QA/QC Technician) ensures that energy storage products, components, and on-site installations adhere to strict quality standards and specifications.
• They perform inspections, manage non-conforming materials, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and maintain detailed documentation for battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• This is a traveling position supporting projects in Arizona, Nevada, California, Texas and more. Candidates can expect to be away from home 4 - 6 weeks at a time.
