About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work cooperatively with client representatives, project management, construction management, and subcontractors
  • Review project documents and drawings for quality procedure and work practice compliance
  • Ensure on-site staff are properly certified for assigned work
  • Report completion status and quality inspections weekly
  • Implement the approved Quality Inspection and Test Plan
  • Organize client witnessing of hold points and approval of related documentation
  • Oversee third-party inspections and testing and review documentation for compliance
  • Provide quality oversight of work performed
  • Maintain project quality documentation and data and compile turnover books
  • Perform system completion walk-downs and report deficiencies
  • Maintain punch lists and report open items weekly
  • Immediately report discrepancies or concerns to project and division quality managers
  • Provide quality guidance to field project groups
  • Conduct in-process monitoring of E&I work for compliance with quality standards
  • Ensure third-party personnel work safely and comply with project safety, environmental, and health requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I project quality inspector
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to clear drug and background requirements
  • Experience in E&I disciplines and working with multi-disciplined onsite personnel
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Proven communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with NEC, NETA, IEEE, VE-2, and other codes
  • Good written communication and reporting skills with proper grammar and spelling
  • Experience in oilfield-related plant/facility construction
  • Experience in quality control representing construction contractors
  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory statutes and codes
  • Experience managing project quality records and data
  • Experience in E&I inspection activities
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk the property and laydown yards
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
  • Electrical License (Master, Journeyman) preferred
  • MCCER Certification preferred
