• You'll be working within the team responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and construction of highway structures, working in collaboration with the Highway Services Contractor and their supply chain partners.
• The team is responsible for inspecting and assessing a wide range of structures throughout the County and for prioritising, developing and implementing maintenance and strengthening works required to ensure that structures remain safe for use and fit for purpose.

• Efficiently and effectively lead a small team, project managing a large portfolio of sustainable transport schemes and programmes.
• Primary focus on schemes with a budget value of more than £1m, typically Active Travel schemes and other highway improvements as required.
• Work closely with a range of stakeholders, particularly Transport Strategy, managing all investigation and design phases to implementation on the ground.
• Carrying out investigations, feasibility, preliminary and detailed design for various highway improvement and maintenance schemes internal for and external works commissioners, including Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) engagement and Community Engagement/Consultation activities.

• lead on the operational delivery of the domestic mechanical heating service across housing assets.
• ensure that contractors deliver their service in accordance with contractual requirements.
• ensure gas, oil, ASHP and solid fuel servicing is undertaken to domestic assets, including detector testing and sealed system servicing to meet statutory and regulatory obligations.
• oversee the management and maintenance of key compliance areas of gas, electrical, asbestos, fire, lifts and water hygiene as well as managing damp and mould.

• Play a key strategic role in shaping and delivering cultural, arts and creative health activity across Suffolk.
