About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • design and deliver a high-quality Power BI reporting suite
  • develop and maintain SQL queries, views and tables to support reporting and analytics
  • build intuitive, high-performing Power BI dashboards for a wide range of users
  • work closely with service leads to translate business needs into clear reporting solutions
  • validate and quality-check data, identifying issues and driving improvements
  • support both routine and ad-hoc data requests across the service
  • ensure compliance with GDPR and data governance standards
  • document data models, definitions and processes to ensure sustainability
  • collaborate with partners across health and care to support joined-up reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • strong experience working in a BI/data/analytical role using SQL and Power BI
  • experience building dashboards, data models and writing efficient SQL queries
  • the ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate data into clear insight
  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills
  • knowledge of data governance, GDPR and handling sensitive information.
