People Partner

General

• Develop and maintain the Technology Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
• Support the content development for digital platforms and internal channels.
• Promoting Technology functions offerings which will help the commerciality and efficiency of the charity.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintaining up-to-date awareness of industry and technology trends.
• Managing timelines, deliverables, and workflows to ensure smooth execution of communications and engagement initiatives.
• Be an advocate for the whole Technology Directorate building its profile and influence and help foster a culture of technological empowerment within Action for Children.

Technology Engagement Officer

• Co-ordinating Youth Inclusion Panel referrals, assessments and meetings, ensuring effective multi-agency decision-making and support planning.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, schools and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Preparing and monitoring case records, reports and management information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Representing the service at meetings and reviews, providing professional advice and ensuring actions are followed through.
• Supporting continuous service improvement through data analysis, reporting and engagement in training and partnership activities.

Youth Inclusion Panel Coordinator

Social Worker

• Providing professional supervision and developmental support, including advice and guidance to fostering families and working with other professionals where appropriate.
• Completing complex assessments of applicants to foster, making appropriate recommendations, to ensure the best outcome for children, young people, and families.
• Supporting fostering families to look after children and young people who have experienced trauma, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to enable them to undertake this complex task within a family home environment, undertaking fostering reviews, providing high quality, analytical reports and presenting to Panel where appropriate, ensuring that children are receiving the best service possible.
• Being accountable for ensuring statutory compliance and meet regulatory body requirements regarding registration.
• Enthusiasm for learning and self-development, for yourself as a reflective practitioner, and in support of our carer training.

Community Manager

• Develop and deliver a clear, multi-year Community Fundraising strategy that carefully integrates a faith focus, while prioritising the highest-value growth opportunities.
• Direct the organisation’s faith strategy, including acting as a senior internal and external sponsor for the Methodist Partnership and other strategically significant faith relationships.
• Lead, motivate and continual developing a team of fundraises and a specialist post to deliver at pace, setting clear expectations, stretching targets and strong performance management.
• Promote legacy giving as one of the key long-term impacts of Community Fundraising relationships.
• Accountable for community fundraising performance across the organisation through strategic leadership, prioritisation, governance, and investment decision-making.
• Lead cross-organisational collaboration by working closely with other Heads to maximise acquisition, integrated supporter journeys, and excellent supporter experience.

• Steering a high-performing Events portfolio.
• Driving excellent cultivation and stewardship strategies that deepen engagement, increase retention, and maximise lifetime supporter value.
• Providing clear prioritisation, strategic direction, and performance-focused leadership across the Philanthropy & Events portfolio by setting stretch income targets, performance metrics, priorities and KPIs.
• Leading cross-organisational collaboration including influencing at a senior level and working in close partnership with other Fundraising teams, Digital, Brand, Data, Communications and Children Services.

Head of Philanthropy and Events

Executive

• Manage and steward a large portfolio of challenge event participants.
• Help participants maximise their fundraising potential.
• Deliver an exceptional supporter journey from registration through to event day and beyond.
• Work closely with fundraising, marketing, and supporter care colleagues.
• Develop meaningful relationships with supporters.
• Provide personalised fundraising advice and encouragement.
• Contribute to the development of the wider challenge events portfolio.

Relationship Fundraising Executive

• Oversee standards and the compliance, safeguarding and sustainability needs of Fostering services within southeast England
• Be part of the senior management group within England Fostering Services and work to Action for Children’s Head of Fostering
• Provide strong leadership and direction to a range of professional social work, health and business support staff
• Work in partnership with marketing and central AFC staff to maintain sustainable services
• Hold the Registered Managers role for Devon Short Breaks and Fostering Southwest peninsular
• Oversee the Registered Manager role in Fostering Southwest (Bristol) services
• Be accountable for regulatory requirement and standards as directed by AFC Head of Fostering Services
• Responsible for local budgets and contracts, providing accuracy and accountability
• Build on strong relationships with commissioners and other stakeholders
• Provide oversight to our therapeutic HOMES Model.

Fostering Services Manager

Business Analyst

• Lead structured workshops with Finance, People Operations and Technology to capture current processes, pain points, and operational scenarios, translating these into clear, outcome‑focused requirements.
• Define and maintain robust, testable acceptance criteria, ensuring solutions are assessed against real business outcomes rather than system assumptions.
• Analyse and articulate cross‑module impact across ERP, HCM, Payroll and Reporting, identifying dependencies, constraints, and downstream implications early.
• Support discovery, testing and validation by coordinating scenario‑based testing, working with SMEs to confirm whether solutions are operationally viable end‑to‑end.
• Document key process and data flows, including Chart of Accounts structures, costing logic and approval processes, highlighting inefficiencies and manual workarounds.
• Act as the bridge between business and technical teams, challenging assumptions, clarifying requirements, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Document requirements for EPM workforce module from a business point of view, identify training gaps for EPM especially and what needs to be done to address these.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Leading the maintenance of the account’s payable ledger for designated suppliers.
• Ensure the Purchase Order process is adhered to, liaising with procurement colleagues and suppliers where the process requires improving.
• Lead the enforcement of anti-fraud controls in relation to purchasing activities and the enforcement of prescribed controls over the function to ensure that only valid commitments to spend and payments are made by Action for Children.
• Lead the processing and controls over weekly BACS run and ensure Fostering payments are processed timely and accurately.
• Lead the reconciliation of the account’s payable ledger.
• Produce and present all relevant KPI’s for the Accounts Payable & Purchase Card Manager.

Finance Officer – Accounts Payable

• Ensure the day-to-day accounting of bank transactions is carried out with a high level of accuracy, right first time.
• Adhere to, and maintain, the financial services timetable for monthly, quarterly, and annual routines surrounding month end close.
• Ensuring payments are set up in a timely manner and approval process is adhered before setting up payments on bank and APT for BACS payments.
• Assist number of employees with the ability to conduct critical business functions surrounding payments and receipts, understanding all areas of bank administration including BACS, Pay-pal, and credit card machines and recording these transactions in timely manner on systems.
• Point of contact in relation to bank queries and support hub.
• Balance sheet reconciliations – Bank, Pay-pal, Petty Cash etc.
• Assist the team in embedding new workload and process/system improvements into the Treasury and financial accounting department.
