• Manage daily lab operations, including equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare labs for experimental sessions, ensuring protocols, hardware, and software are ready.
• Coordinate study logistics: scheduling participants, managing consent forms, and maintaining study documentation.
• Moderate in-lab vision science studies, following established research protocols.
• Ensure participant safety, comfort, and data integrity during studies.
• Maintain organized records of study sessions, datasets, and lab inventories.
• Provide hands-on support to vision scientists during experiment design, setup, and execution.
• Assist in piloting experiments, debugging experimental flows, and identifying usability or technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, and designers to translate research needs into practical implementations.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of lab processes, tools, and documentation.
• Build rapid prototypes to support vision science experiments and demos, using tools such as Lens Studio, Unity, or similar real-time/AR platforms.
• Implement experimental stimuli, UI flows, and interactive behaviors required for research studies.
• Modify and iterate on prototypes quickly based on researcher feedback and pilot study results.
• Maintain and document prototype codebases for reuse and iteration.
• Act as a liaison between research, engineering, and creative teams.
• Communicate technical constraints and possibilities clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support internal demos, reviews, and knowledge sharing related to lab capabilities and prototypes.

Security Engineer

• Design, implement, and operate security controls that protect our corporate devices, applications, and infrastructure, including execution control, device trust, and network segmentation.
• Build and understand threat models which pose an imminent threat to our platform and business.
• Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting systems to detect malicious activity on Snap Inc.'s endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Investigate events generated by the alerting pipeline, triage potential incidents, and drive response efforts.
• Build tools and devise automation strategies in Python and/or Go to improve Snap Inc.’s ability to hunt threats and respond to intrusions.
• Conduct security reviews for new features and technologies, including the secure enablement of AI tools and features.
• Partner with IT and other engineering teams to architect and manage identity and access management (IAM) and SSO integrations.
• Identify, analyze, fingerprint, and build threat intelligence on trends and developments in adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

• Identify trends and patterns by reviewing, analyzing and synthesizing information from internal and external sources, and propose safety solutions informed by these findings
• Become a subject matter expert in a range of abuse areas, including those involving sensitive content such as child sexual exploitation
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into violations of our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
• Support ad hoc safety-related projects in accordance with business needs
• Anticipate project risks, negotiate with decision makers, and balance business needs with technical constraints
• Develop and conduct training for other T&S team members
• Enhance team’s work through recommendations for optimizing tooling as well as process development and improvement
• Ensure that new product and workflow launches are properly planned for and supported
