Product Manager – Ads Platform

Engineer

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a system-level power model that accurately predicts the power consumption of all hardware components and software activities across different operational states and use cases
• Understand, characterize, and model power consumption for a wide array of system loads including SoCs, CPUs, GPUs, memory, displays, wireless radios, sensors, actuators, and peripherals across varying functional modes
• Integrate battery model (ESR) into use-case based run time estimates as well as HW system DCR and grounding requirements
• Collaborate with product and system architecture teams to define and model various use cases and translate into quantifiable power profiles
• Extract and integrate pre-silicon power estimates and power breakdown data for chips under development
• Partner effectively with various submodule teams to gather accurate power consumption data
• Hand-on measurement of power and performance data from prototypes and compare it against model predictions
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to hardware and software teams for power reduction strategies
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for power models, assumptions, methodologies, test procedures, and analysis reports.

Electrical System Power Modeling Engineer – Level 5

Manager

• Manage daily lab operations, including equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare labs for experimental sessions, ensuring protocols, hardware, and software are ready.
• Coordinate study logistics: scheduling participants, managing consent forms, and maintaining study documentation.
• Moderate in-lab vision science studies, following established research protocols.
• Ensure participant safety, comfort, and data integrity during studies.
• Maintain organized records of study sessions, datasets, and lab inventories.
• Provide hands-on support to vision scientists during experiment design, setup, and execution.

Prototyper, Lab Manager – Fixed Term

Security Engineer

• Design, implement, and operate security controls that protect our corporate devices, applications, and infrastructure, including execution control, device trust, and network segmentation.
• Build and understand threat models which pose an imminent threat to our platform and business.
• Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting systems to detect malicious activity on Snap Inc.'s endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Investigate events generated by the alerting pipeline, triage potential incidents, and drive response efforts.
• Build tools and devise automation strategies in Python and/or Go to improve Snap Inc.’s ability to hunt threats and respond to intrusions.
• Conduct security reviews for new features and technologies, including the secure enablement of AI tools and features.
• Partner with IT and other engineering teams to architect and manage identity and access management (IAM) and SSO integrations.

• Identify trends and patterns by reviewing, analyzing and synthesizing information from internal and external sources, and propose safety solutions informed by these findings
• Become a subject matter expert in a range of abuse areas, including those involving sensitive content such as child sexual exploitation
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into violations of our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
• Support ad hoc safety-related projects in accordance with business needs
• Anticipate project risks, negotiate with decision makers, and balance business needs with technical constraints
