• Working within the Asset Management Team
• Play a key role in a highly motivated Highways Maintenance team
• Participate in the delivery of the effective and efficient Highways Maintenance function related to all drainage assets
• Assist the drainage team in maintaining the drainage asset in a safe condition within limited budgetary provision
• Ensure compliance with the Highways Act 1980 and Land Drainage Act 1991

Technician – Drainage Engineer

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Noise Nuisance and Scientific Team.
• Drive service improvements and ensure compliance with legislation and statutory duties.
• Lead a team of professional enforcement officers, managing budgets and delivering robust, outcome-based strategies.
• Collaborate across the Council and with multi-agency partners to protect residents and businesses.

Service Manager – Environmental Health

Administration

• Providing fast paced and challenging workload within the Traffic & Compliance Team
• Delivering the reactive maintenance service across the borough as required under The Highways Act 1980
• Identifying and overseeing all reactive maintenance of the Borough’s highways in relation to the carriageway, footway, and verge network
• Working closely with counsellors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure all involved parties’ interests are met in line with Council policy
• Managing and administering a number of tasks within the Traffic & Compliance team including the S81 programme management, committing works orders, and uploading diversions onto one.network
• Ensuring projects are completed to programme, to standard and to budget
• Acting as the go-to technical representative for the service for Street Works & Network Asset Team, work committing, S81 management, deposit refunds, and compliance including permits monitoring
