Sales

• Participate in a sales internship placed in a division focused on total acre solutions using seed, crop protection, and crop nutrient products
• Engage with growers and retailers on business development, customer relationship, and sales skills

• Utilize field trial testing to uncover yield potential through nutrients, crop protection, and seed
• Bring targeted insights to growers via total acre solutions
• Work on a business-critical project and network with industry leaders and state-of-the-art facilities

Sales Intern

• Call on adult dairy animal owners to evaluate existing feeding programs and recommend/assist with nutritional programs
• Sell Purina products and programs at the farm gate with the end goal of growing sales and market share
• Conduct up to 25 farm calls per week, develop new prospects, and cold call to generate sales
• Organize and conduct educational meetings/events for 4H clubs, saddle clubs, vets, trainers, and lifestyle show clubs to enhance brand and build store traffic
• Consult with cooperative/dealer to optimize market share, savings, and operational efficiency
• Perform on-farm walkthroughs and animal evaluations in all weather conditions
• Use MS Office, HerdSmart ration balancing software, and Salesforce as part of sales and recommendation processes
• Travel overnight (~15%) and perform daily travel within the assigned geographic territory
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
• Report and collaborate with partner co-op/dealer to achieve cooperative/dealer mission and goals

Dairy Feed Sales Representative

• Drive sales execution and target achievement within Southwest markets (North Texas, OK, NM)
• Responsible for targeted regional restaurant chains (101-500) and emerging chains (10-19+ units)
• Develop and utilize national broker to drive execution on mutually agreed targets
• New Customer Acquisition: execute against targeted operators, build relationships, set up product training (in-person preferred)
• Existing Customer Retention and Penetration: evaluate operator trade programs, motivate/train/influence Broker Chain Specialists, expand product penetration
• Collaborate with culinary managers to develop menu solutions and with Region Sales Managers for distribution alignment
• Utilize Salesforce CRM reporting and Power BI; collaborate with Analytics and data systems to analyze performance
• Sales opportunity management and communicate target updates with internal cross-functional teams
• Request and capture culinary support, plan and execute data driven pricing actions, input product forecasts
• HR activities including talent talks, individual development plans, required training

Regional Chain Sales Manager

• Represent Purina products across assigned markets and territories, managing relationships with dealers and co-ops to drive growth at both the distribution level and the farm gate
• Collaborate across disciplines within the Channel Sales function to meet revenue targets
• Work with accounts, products/services, or sales processes of limited complexity
• Represent Purina products to dealers and co-ops, driving sales through on-farm visits and support of internal and external dealer functions
• Leverage existing relationships to grow Purina’s market share and identify new distribution opportunities and dealer/co-op partners
• Deeply understand market needs and communicate how Purina’s product offerings address those needs
• Ensure dealers are equipped with appropriate products and inventory to meet customer demand

Customer Operations Representative – Animal Nutrition

Sales Development Rep

• The WinField United Sales Development Manager serves as a direct partner and coach to our customer-owner’s top 1000 retail sellers to expand the retail seller’s competencies and selling skills. Responsibilities include daily direct farm-gate calls in partnership with the retail seller.
• 60% Sales Generation
• Manages and grows business through a defined plan and consistent communication with assigned owners and internal teams with strong focus on STAMPS, seed, and services
• Coaches and trains top retail sellers at the farm-gate on products, programs, services, and technologies with the goal of influencing grower decisions
• Utilizes pre-call planning tools and approach
• Relies on agronomy or services experts for technical knowledge as needed
• Records all relevant account details in the CRM software (Salesforce)
• 40% Strategy Execution
• In partnership with top retailer sellers, executes by using tools such as the Account Plan, Farmer by Farmer (FxF) Plan, and ACRE sprints. Measures and monitors progress against plans. Owns and is accountable for the FxF Plan and for digital and services adoption by retailer sellers
• Coaches and communicates at the farm-gate level the total acre value proposition to the top 1,000 retailer sellers including brand ladder, partnered and proprietary brand strategies, programs, pricing, services, and digital technology and platforms
• Supports the retail seller in Answer Plot and post-harvest meetings
• Coordinates with local manufacturer representatives
• Implements Account Plan with retail sellers
• Manages discretionary and insight trial seed

Sales Development Manager

Account Executive

• Field-based Purina Animal Nutrition Feed Sales Representative focused on commercial cattle, equine and lifestyle feed sales
• Sell feed and related products to optimize dealer market share and efficiency and support dealer goals
• Remote (virtual) field-based role; must be located within 40 miles of Lakeview, OR
• Call on animal owners (primary focus grass cattle) to evaluate feeding programs and recommend nutritional programs
• Sell/consult at the farm gate (up to 25 farm calls per week), develop new prospects, and make cold calls

• Compensation: base salary plus commission (base typically $60,000 - $75,000); target bonus $15,000
