• Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including financial institutions and industry partners.
• Manage project execution, ensuring milestones are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
• Develop and refine processes to enable efficient scaling of the team.
• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for collaboration with banks, insurers, and financial institutions.
• Represent the team in internal leadership meetings, ensuring clear communication of progress, challenges, and needs.
• Partner with technical leads to ensure delivery of quantum algorithms for finance use cases and cryptographic solutions integrating PQC and QKD.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and strategic documents to support decision-making.
• Build a foundation for future growth, with the potential to recruit and manage a team as the function expands.

Technical Program Manager

• Oversee high-impact IT programs in identity and access management (IAM), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and artificial intelligence (AI)
• Lead projects end-to-end, including office expansions, application integrations, and complex infrastructure and networking upgrades
• Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, and timelines
• Manage IT aspects of M&A, integrating IT systems, networks, and applications of acquired companies
• Define project scopes, create detailed project plans, manage resources, and track progress to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Define and implement an IT project intake process and manage the department's project portfolio
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors and oversee project budgets
• Provide technical guidance to project teams to ensure alignment with corporate IT standards

DevOps Engineer

• Be the first site reliability engineer at IonQ dedicated to the cloud team: create, support, and manage infrastructure, instrumentation, and tooling for product and engineering teams
• Provide reliable services to customers and act as a force multiplier for engineers by eliminating toil and scaling systems sustainably
• Increase performance, decrease latency, and ensure high uptime for IonQ's quantum computing platform
• Maintain monitoring and alerting systems deployed on Kubernetes (self-managed on-prem and in the cloud) and on Linux workstations
• Operate and debug Unix/Linux internals and network issues as needed
• Automate manual processes and implement tooling to improve operational efficiency
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices across the organization
• Participate in incident management, resolution, and post-incident analysis
• Work onsite or hybrid from College Park, MD or Bothell, WA, or fully remote within the US; travel limited up to 10%

Staff Site Reliability Engineer – Platform

Architect

• Lead and perform architecture trade studies for fault-tolerant quantum computers.
• Develop models and perform estimations for the physical resources required for utility-scale quantum computing.
• Synthesize, run, and analyze simulations to inform architectural decisions.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, white papers, and proposals for both internal stakeholders and government contracts.
• Translate complex simulation results and architectural concepts into clear, persuasive narratives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams to define system requirements and performance targets.
• Contribute to the strategic vision and long-term technical roadmap for IonQ's quantum computers.
• Perform architecture trade studies and resource estimation and weave simulation results into reports and proposals.
• Travel up to 25%.

Backend Engineer

• Build the IonQ Cloud Platform connecting customers to quantum computers via APIs, tools, and partner clouds like AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Lead the design and implementation of compelling software experiences for quantum novices and experts
• Build, extend and maintain our cloud platform
• Mentor junior engineers
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Report to Sr Manager of Cloud Engineering and collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Application Development and Operations teams to provide highly available and fault-tolerant cloud services
