Outside Sales

• Sell boiler service agreements, maintenance contracts, repairs, and capital projects to industrial, commercial, and institutional customers across the territory.
• Develop new accounts through prospecting, referrals, and industry networking, while expanding service and project revenue within existing accounts.
• Build relationships with the people who own boiler room decisions — plant engineers, maintenance managers, facility directors, and procurement.
• Conduct site walkthroughs to understand each customer’s systems, identify service and upgrade opportunities, and gather the information needed to scope work accurately.
• Partner with the service and engineering team to develop proposals, estimates, and project scopes; present pricing and technical solutions that win the work and protect margin.
• Manage a pipeline with discipline — forecast accurately, keep the CRM current, and move opportunities from lead to booked revenue.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and in the field as a knowledgeable, trusted resource in the boiler room.
• Hand off sold work cleanly to the service and project teams and stay engaged to keep the customer relationship strong.

Territory Sales Manager – Boiler Service, Projects

Technician

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning burner management systems and flame safeguard controls on industrial firetube and watertube boilers.
• Performing combustion tuning and analysis — setting linkage or parallel positioning, dialing in fuel/air ratios, verifying O2 trim, and documenting results against efficiency and emissions targets.
• Diagnosing and programming PLC- and HMI-based control systems, including modulating controls, feedwater and level controls, draft controls, and lead/lag sequencing.
• Executing controls retrofits and upgrades — replacing obsolete flame safeguard, converting linkage systems to parallel positioning, and integrating new instrumentation into existing plant systems.
• Conducting startups and commissioning on new equipment installations, including loop checks, functional testing, and safety interlock verification.
• Responding to emergency service calls within the territory and participating in a shared on-call rotation.
• Writing clear, defensible service documentation — what failed, what you did, what the customer should plan for next.
• Advising customers directly on reliability, efficiency, and code compliance, and flagging legitimate opportunities for the sales and project teams.

Boiler Controls Technician

• Supervise and direct the work of assigned service technicians within geographic territory
• Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, and develop training programs to improve technical knowledge and overall performance of assigned technicians
• Identify and assign team members to provide field support and mentorship to other service technicians
• Partner with the Service Director to resolve employee performance or behavioral issues and determine staffing needs
• Participate in recruiting and hiring of field service technicians
• Serve as first point of contact for phone and field support, including troubleshooting, emergency repair assistance, and parts delivery; escalate complex issues to the Service Director as needed
• Conduct preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, startup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of generators and related equipment
• Make pre-startup site visits to advise and assist installing contractors
• Lead safety initiatives and oversight for all technicians in assigned geography, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Execute Quality Control programs within assigned geographic territory, working with the Technical Service Manager to implement QC procedures and ensure proper documentation
• Support the Service Manager in reviewing work orders at all stages of project execution
• Drive and promote continuous improvement of field operations
• Provide customer-focused support to enhance customer relationships and resolve concerns
• Support planning and quoting of complex service projects
• Assist the Service Director with the OEM warranty process administration
• Advise the service operations team on time and materials needed for various service levels
• Provide after-hours emergency response support as needed
• Occasional overnight travel required

Senior Generator Field Technician

• Install, upgrade, and commission DC power systems and equipment.
• Install and terminate DC power cabling according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform battery installations, battery replacements, and preventive maintenance.
• Install and configure rectifiers, inverters, power distribution equipment, and associated DC systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting, and system verification prior to commissioning.
• Ensure all work complies with company, customer, and industry safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, job reports, and material usage.
• Work closely with project managers, customers, and field teams to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the Northeast as required.

DC Power Technician

• Assist with routine preventative maintenance (oil and filter changes) and support lead technicians during engine repairs.
• Deliver parts and load bank trailers to field technicians as needed.
• Observe and participate in the maintenance of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), AC/DC circuit troubleshooting, and engine component identification (ignition and fuel systems).
• Participate in load bank testing under direct supervision to ensure generator compliance with operating standards.
• Work alongside senior staff on larger projects to gain hands-on experience and provide basic assistance as directed.

Diesel Generator Technician

Project Manager

• Oversee electrical and generator projects from inception to completion.
• Manage field operations, coordinating with on-site teams.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Develop project schedules, manage resources, and monitor progress.
• Address issues that arise during project execution.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure compliance with regulations and safety guidelines.
