About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, upgrade, and commission DC power systems and equipment.
  • Install and terminate DC power cabling according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform battery installations, battery replacements, and preventive maintenance.
  • Install and configure rectifiers, inverters, power distribution equipment, and associated DC systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
  • Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting, and system verification prior to commissioning.
  • Ensure all work complies with company, customer, and industry safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, job reports, and material usage.
  • Work closely with project managers, customers, and field teams to complete projects safely and on schedule.
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the Northeast as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience installing or maintaining DC power systems or telecom power infrastructure.
  • Experience working with battery plants, rectifiers, inverters, and DC distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications, data center, or critical infrastructure environments preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment and standard hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (Preferred)
  • NFPA 70E (Preferred)
  • CPR / First Aid (Preferred)
