About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with routine preventative maintenance (oil and filter changes) and support lead technicians during engine repairs.
  • Deliver parts and load bank trailers to field technicians as needed.
  • Observe and participate in the maintenance of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), AC/DC circuit troubleshooting, and engine component identification (ignition and fuel systems).
  • Participate in load bank testing under direct supervision to ensure generator compliance with operating standards.
  • Work alongside senior staff on larger projects to gain hands-on experience and provide basic assistance as directed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education: HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an Electrical/Mechanical field preferred.
  • Experience: Military background (e.g., US Air Force Electrical Power Production, US Navy Electrician’s Mate) or prior field service experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Adobe/PDFs).
  • Travel/Logistics: Excellent driving record and valid license required. This role involves significant travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working from home and managing inventory, vehicle maintenance, and company-issued equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, and performing tasks requiring physical agility (kneeling, grasping, and maneuvering in restricted areas).
