About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with routine preventative maintenance (oil and filter changes) and support lead technicians during engine repairs.
Deliver parts and load bank trailers to field technicians as needed.
Observe and participate in the maintenance of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), AC/DC circuit troubleshooting, and engine component identification (ignition and fuel systems).
Participate in load bank testing under direct supervision to ensure generator compliance with operating standards.
Work alongside senior staff on larger projects to gain hands-on experience and provide basic assistance as directed.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an Electrical/Mechanical field preferred.
Experience: Military background (e.g., US Air Force Electrical Power Production, US Navy Electrician’s Mate) or prior field service experience is a plus.
Skills: Strong communication and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Adobe/PDFs).
Travel/Logistics: Excellent driving record and valid license required. This role involves significant travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays.
Work Environment: Comfortable working from home and managing inventory, vehicle maintenance, and company-issued equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, and performing tasks requiring physical agility (kneeling, grasping, and maneuvering in restricted areas).
