• Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, partners, and a diverse pool of independent interpreting contractors while leading strategic business development efforts.
• Collaborating closely with internal marketing teams and other stakeholders, the VP will identify and execute opportunities for expansion and innovation.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to scale CSD Access Services, focusing on new market share in VRI and captioning.
• Provide visionary leadership to ensure alignment with CSD’s mission and long-term goals.

• Responsible for the strategic leadership, operational oversight, and program development of CSD's educational initiatives
• Drive business strategy for program and revenue growth while ensuring high-quality, accessible educational opportunities
• Establish, strengthen, and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, K-12 educational institutions, and industry partners
• Represent CSD Learns at community events, conferences, industry gatherings, and other relevant forums
• Lead the overall directionality of CSD Learns and development of strategic approaches for technology integration in online education
• Oversee the development and operational functions of CSD Learns including the direct management of support staff, independent contractors, and support platforms
• Provide oversight to all grant- and contract-based projects associated with CSD Learns
• Manage data collection and reporting within CSD Learns to ensure project outcomes are met

• Direct all testing and training program operations ensuring achievement of contractual objectives, initiatives, and compliance with regulatory, contractual, and performance standards
• Provide leadership and management of contract deliverables and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Oversee annual contract budgets and monitor financial performance against targets
• Manage and oversee the development and maintenance of all contract required plans and documentation including operational policies, procedures, and workflows
• Coordinate with the CPUC Contract Manager and DDTP Oversight Contractor (PPCA) on program requirements
• Report on progress, issues, and areas for improvement to CPUC Contract Manager and DDTP Oversight Contractor (PPCA)

Testing and Training Program Director

Communications

• A Communication Assistant relays telephone calls between deaf, hard of hearing, and speech-impaired consumers (TTY users) and hearing consumers through the telephone network.
• The Assistant will understand the speech patterns of people with mild, moderate or severe speech disabilities or those who use a speech augmentative device.
• Proficient in listening to and understanding conversation by individuals with a variety of speech disabilities
• Use specific strategies to facilitate communication without interfering with the customer’s control over the call including retention of information at the customer’s request and verification of what is said to verify accuracy
• Ability to speak clearly and pronounce and enunciate complex words and sentence structure; ability to effectively verbally communicate using voice inflection, adjust tone and volume
• Ability to read text aloud from a computer and listen to spoken word and transcribe to text on a computer
• Excellent grammar and spelling
• Ability to learn and understand complex computer communication software, shortcuts and command functions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt to schedules influenced by call volume fluctuations
