Associate

• Gather the necessary information to truly understand our client companies, their cultures, and position requirements
• Pitch our clients as effectively, or more effectively, than them
• Collaborate with the Partner and Analyst to execute differentiated search strategies
• Develop search materials, including position descriptions, candidate assessments, and status reports
• Manage and drive research efforts and strategy via an Analyst and your own efforts to ensure the identification of high quality candidates all the while serving as a mentor and coach to the Analyst
• Manage relationships with passive and active candidates, ensuring a strong pipeline throughout the search process, from kickoff to accepted offer
• Provide insights on industry trends and competitive landscapes
• Present data-driven and well-informed candidate updates and search progress to clients
• Ensure accurate data capture in SPMB’s database
• Support business development and marketing efforts as needed

• Coordinates and manages a range of planning projects and assignments, including multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional efforts, from initiation through completion
• Develops and implements long-range and current planning plans, programs, goals, and policies related to citywide initiatives (e.g., transportation, housing, economic development, and sustainability)
• Prepares and updates elements of the General Plan and specialized plans; evaluates projects and program proposals for consistency with adopted plans, applicable regulations, and planning best practices
• Reviews development applications and entitlement requests (e.g., site plan/design review, conditional use permits, variances, rezoning requests) for compliance with zoning, subdivision, and municipal code requirements; coordinates review with other departments and agencies
• Provides professional planning guidance and customer service to residents, applicants, citizen groups, and other stakeholders regarding planning policies, processes, zoning and rezoning, ordinance updates, and applicable environmental regulations
• Facilitates public meetings, stakeholder workshops, and interdepartmental discussions; prepares and delivers presentations and represents the Department at Planning Commission and City Council meetings, as assigned
• Conducts research and analysis using maps, plans, reports, and surveys; interprets data to define issues, assess trends, develop alternatives, and make recommendations
• Coordinates environmental review activities (e.g., CEQA) for assigned projects, including preparing or overseeing technical studies and ensuring required findings, conditions, and mitigation measures are documented

• Build a dense, trusted network across founders, angels, scouts, venture funds, operators, and entrepreneurial communities.
• Source high-potential pre-seed investment opportunities through relationship-driven founder sourcing.
• Ensure that our founders in our pipeline reflect the expectation for exceptional founders.
• Design and orchestrate Redesign’s broader ecosystem presence.
• Build trust quickly with founders and engage credibly from the first conversation.

Ventures Associate

• Execute assigned program workflows (e.g., claim intake, completeness review, eligibility verification within guidelines).
• Review, validate, and process applications and claims.
• Escalate non-routine issues, complaints, or exceptions to the Project Manager.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Review work for accuracy and completeness.
• Execute data validation and quality assurance activities.
• Track and report discrepancies to support consistency and reduce rework.
• Apply and update established processes and documentation.
• Maintain detailed documentation to support audits, reporting, and program transparency.

Solar Programs, REC Contracts Associate

• Design, manage, and pressure-test complex financial models across the data center investment lifecycle — including lease, acquisitions and development
• Prepare and deliver materials for senior management and the Board.
• Support negotiation of LOIs, PSAs, and lease agreements, and manage diligence and closing processes through to funding.
• Help define which markets and submarkets to pursue based on power availability, customer demand, and competitive positioning.
• Underwrite individual sites and leases in partnership with the power, design, and construction teams, surfacing risks and recommendations.
• Maintain database of land comps, transaction comps, competitor activity, and powered-land pipeline across target markets — and translate it into investment recommendations.
