About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Rotate across credit, equity, forex, and derivatives desks to learn each asset class and trading region
  • Eventually assume ownership of systematic trading programs
  • Interact directly with internal stakeholders and the broker-dealer community
  • Build analytics and automation to improve the sophistication and scale of firmwide trading operations
  • Monitor high-volume execution algorithms and portfolio risk
  • Track real-time market developments
  • Interface with external brokers and trading counterparties
  • Contribute to the codebase underlying automated trading operations
  • Build processes and technology to prevent errors or outages while increasing team capacity
  • Provide insight and expertise to research and development staff
  • Work global market hours for part of each year on a rotational basis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated passion for markets
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or R
  • Experience using a Unix-like operating system
  • Academic or practical familiarity with statistics
  • Skillset in data analysis and visualization
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or quantitative discipline
  • Attention to detail and clarity of thought
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is addressed in the application
  • Must disclose whether visa sponsorship is required now or in the future
