About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct financial analysis for potential acquisitions using Argus and Excel models, discounted cash flows, and partnership waterfalls
- Coordinate due diligence with legal counsel, third-party consultants, investment brokers, and lenders
- Compile market research for acquisition assumptions, including lease and sales comparables, competitive sets, development pipeline, and other market data
- Support and lead asset management initiatives, including lease negotiations, capital plans, property financings, development asset draw schedules, and hold/sell analysis
- Interface with leasing brokers, property managers, and joint venture partners to create and enact asset-level business plans
- Manage quarterly valuations of existing assets via third-party appraisals
- Prepare internal investment memos for acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and refinancing
- Provide oversight and support for junior team members
- Perform additional duties as required by the Real Estate team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field
- 3–5 years of work experience in commercial real estate
- Effective oral and written communication skills, adaptable to multiple audiences
- Strong proficiency in Argus and Excel
- Experience with discounted cash flow modeling and waterfall structures
- Desire to work across real estate disciplines and learn all asset classes
- Experience within the financial services or investment management industry
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to stay current with technological developments
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to travel and cover markets nationally
- Preferred: prior financial services industry experience, specifically in real estate
- Preferred: knowledge of SEC regulatory requirements and related technology
- Background check required
