About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct financial analysis for potential acquisitions using Argus and Excel models, discounted cash flows, and partnership waterfalls
Coordinate due diligence with legal counsel, third-party consultants, investment brokers, and lenders
Compile market research for acquisition assumptions, including lease and sales comparables, competitive sets, development pipeline, and other market data
Support and lead asset management initiatives, including lease negotiations, capital plans, property financings, development asset draw schedules, and hold/sell analysis
Interface with leasing brokers, property managers, and joint venture partners to create and enact asset-level business plans
Manage quarterly valuations of existing assets via third-party appraisals
Prepare internal investment memos for acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and refinancing
Provide oversight and support for junior team members
Perform additional duties as required by the Real Estate team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field
3–5 years of work experience in commercial real estate
Effective oral and written communication skills, adaptable to multiple audiences
Strong proficiency in Argus and Excel
Experience with discounted cash flow modeling and waterfall structures
Desire to work across real estate disciplines and learn all asset classes
Experience within the financial services or investment management industry
Intellectual curiosity and ability to stay current with technological developments
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desire to travel and cover markets nationally
Preferred: prior financial services industry experience, specifically in real estate
Preferred: knowledge of SEC regulatory requirements and related technology
