About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as an active member of a small, elite “SWAT” team to accelerate critical initiatives and unblock execution across Astrana
Partner with executive leadership to advance CEO-priority initiatives from concept through execution
Translate ambiguous, high-stakes priorities into structured plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes
Coordinate alignment, accountability, and momentum across teams on critical cross-functional initiatives
Identify operational gaps, process inefficiencies, and organizational friction points and design scalable solutions
Partner with clinical, operational, and technical teams to identify, pilot, and scale AI-enabled solutions
Advise senior leaders by surfacing risks, opportunities, and recommendations
Build durable processes, frameworks, and talent that raise performance across functions
Shape the vision, innovation agenda, and AI-enabled roadmap
Lead delivery of high-impact initiatives, including diving into data, building dashboard applications, and developing prototypes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required
Advanced degree is a plus
Strong critical-thinking and first-principles problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated strength in at least two of three areas: clinical care, operations, and product/technology
Clinical experience, such as understanding care-delivery workflows, quality, and clinical performance
Deep operations experience, such as running or scaling clinical operations, claims, or utilization management
Technical or coding background sufficient to code proofs of concept or build dashboards from ambiguous data
Comfortable moving between strategy and execution
Ability to diagnose issues quickly with incomplete information
Versatility and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments
High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust across organizational levels and functions
Willingness to work as a team player, wear multiple hats, and execute hands-on
Exceptional communication skills across engineering, business, and medicine/clinical domains
