Manager

• Define what counts as an incident and what does not, with entrance and exit criteria that protect engineering from noise.
• Author the severity model with response-time targets per level, so a SEV0 means the same thing Monday morning and Friday night.
• Design how a live incident runs: the command structure, the update cadence, the single source of truth, the decision rights, and when the call gets escalated past the commander. Write it down so anyone on rotation runs it the same way.
• Build and train the incident commander rotation. Build a realistic balance of hiring and utilizing existing resources across humans and AI to stand up the rotation.
• Own the pager and work part of the rotation yourself - personally commanding incidents during your shifts and stepping your share down as the bench matures and proves out. Own how the rotation runs regardless of whose shift it is.
• Stand up the incident tooling and on-call setup: paging, escalation policies, incident channels, status page, and the runbook library.
• Build customer communication templates for each severity and channel, pre-approved so they are not written from scratch under pressure.
• Govern the customer credit process with a clear approval chain, so financial decisions stop happening in ad hoc threads.
• Stand up the metrics: resolution time, response velocity, escalation volume, RCA SLA adherence, and revenue protected. Report monthly in terms execs use to make resource decisions.
• Build standing partnerships with engineering, support, the office of the CTO, legal, security, comms, and carrier operations before the next critical situation.
• Train go-to-market, support, customer success, and engineering on where to bring customer-critical issues and how the function works.
• Build a feedback loop so incident and escalation data shapes the engineering roadmap instead of dying in postmortems.
• Own the customer-facing RCA. Translate engineering root cause into plain language that tells the truth and holds the relationship. Ship it within the SLA we commit to.
• Run the blameless post-incident review. Drive action items to named owners with dates, and track them to closure instead of letting them die in a doc.
• Close the loop with affected customers directly, including the credits or commitments made during the incident.
• Hold the high-severity customer issues that do not rise to a full incident but threaten a renewal or a relationship.
• Run the standing executive escalation list. Keep an owner, a next step, and a date on every item.
• Spot patterns across customers that no single team owns, and force them into engineering or product as prioritized work.
• Be the single point of contact for a regulated customer or a regulatory inquiry that surfaces weeks after the technical fix.
• Partner with the account team on at-risk accounts driven by reliability, and build the cross-functional recovery plan.
• Keep a written handoff and a named deputy so escalations stay covered when you are out.

Incident and Escalation Manager

Marketing

• Build and own the ABM program end-to-end - tier accounts, define the target universe, orchestrate personalized multi-channel campaigns in concert with the marketing team
• Drive pipeline from named accounts in close partnership with Sales and SDRs, with account-specific content and outbound plays
• Activate intent data and buying signals via Clay, reo.dev, and HubSpot to time outreach and convert anonymous signals to pipeline
• Design executive engagement and field programs (executive dinners, VIP event tracks, bespoke content) to accelerate deals

Account Based Marketing

DevOps Engineer

• Make Vapi's security posture world-class for the enterprise — shift security left, catch regressions during code review and CI, and harden our multi-tenant infrastructure as we onboard the Fortune 500.
• Build automation as a security primitive — including agentic systems that run penetration tests against staging ahead of every release, and that auto-remediate issues as they surface.
• Own the compliance roadmap end-to-end alongside InfoSec, including Drata and the automations that keep us audit-ready as we expand into new regions and regulated industries.
• Partner deeply with Engineering, InfoSec, and GRC — building guardrails developers actually use, not ad-hoc controls bolted on after the fact.
• Be the authority Sales and GTM lean on — giving prospects and enterprise customers the confidence that Vapi's security posture matches the trust they're placing in us.

Member of Technical Staff, DevSecOps

General Counsel

• We are hiring our first General Counsel. This is a foundational hire: you will build Vapi's legal function from scratch and own legal strategy across the company.
• You will be a strategic partner to the CEO, the leadership team, and the board, and a hands-on operator who writes contracts, ships policy, and stays close to the product.
• Own Vapi's position on the TCPA and the FCC's AI-voice rulings, including consent capture, calling windows, DNC handling, and disclosure obligations for both inbound and outbound use cases.
• Track and operationalize state AI laws and AI-voice statutes, including the Colorado AI Act, Texas SB 140, California Civil Code §3344, Illinois BIPA voiceprint provisions, and emerging proposals in NY, GA, PA, and others.
• Lead Vapi's response to the EU AI Act, including risk classification of voice agents, transparency obligations, and documentation requirements for high-risk uses.
• Own Vapi's global privacy program, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging state regimes.
• Lead HIPAA compliance and BAA negotiation for our healthcare and insurance customers, in close partnership with Security and Engineering.
• Partner with Security on SOC 2, ISO 27001, and customer audits, and own the legal aspects of incident response and breach notification.
• Build Vapi's IP strategy, including patent program, trademark portfolio, open-source policy, and trade-secret protection across our model orchestration and voice infrastructure stack.
• Sit on the leadership team. Help us decide which markets to enter, which customers to take, and which lines we won't cross.

Director

• Get close to every open search and the hiring plan behind them. Know what's on track, what's at risk, and why

Director of Talent

Software Engineer

• 30 Day: Join the oncall rotation. Walk the 15 stability-gap incidents and turn the patterns into a prioritized reliability backlog. Define the first set of SLOs for the call-completion path.
• 60 Day: Stand up error budgets and SLO-based alerting in Chronosphere/Prometheus for the highest-impact services. Run the first proper load test against provider rate limits and per-org concurrency. Tune autoscaling for wscaler / workerpool-cron-scaler.
• 90 Day: Ship a real platform service — capacity forecaster, auto-remediation, or oncall tooling — in Go or TypeScript. Own the postmortem process. Drive a measurable improvement in p99 call completion or MTTR.

Member of Technical Staff – Site Reliability Engineer

• 30 Day: Get fluent in the Pulumi stacks, the ArgoCD setup, and GitHub Actions pipelines. Sit with engineers from agents and FDE teams to find the top 3 deploy pain points. Land a quality-of-life improvement to the deploy pipeline.
• 60 Day: Own progressive delivery end-to-end — canary, automated rollback, soak — for at least one critical service path. Ship the first version of cell-creation tooling or preview environments. Make the deploy pipeline measurably faster (lead time, MTTR for failed deploys).
• 90 Day: Roll out progressive delivery as the default across services. Establish SLAs and a feedback loop with engineering teams. Own the developer-platform roadmap and partner with Infra and SRE on cell creation, multi-region rollouts, and oncall tooling.

Backend Engineer

• Ramp on the StreamModule pipeline and the cork/uncork backpressure model. Walk the Oct 15 / Oct 22 DB incidents and the duplicate-message incident. Land a scoped pipeline or provider-abstraction improvement.
• Own a slice of the BullMQ → Kafka consolidation. Ship event-driven OTEL instrumentation for at least one critical pipeline stage. Harden one provider plugin path so a new model can be added without core changes.
• Drive a measurable reliability or latency win on the call path. Be the backend owner that agents and FDE teams pull in for design reviews on new providers and pipeline changes.

Revenue Operations

• Pricing Strategy: Drive operational improvements to pricing including discount thresholds, approvals, and order form generation helping Vapi maximize revenue, accelerate deal velocity, and remain competitive in a fast-moving market.
• GTM Engineering: Build and maintain the systems and automations that power our revenue motion, spanning Salesforce architecture, workflow automation, data enrichment pipelines, and integrations.
• Process/Project Management: Design and operationalize the end-to-end revenue process from lead routing and pipeline management to forecasting cadences and handoff protocols. Ensure every function in the GTM org runs with consistency and scale.
• Enablement: Equip our AEs, SDRs, and broader GTM team with the frameworks, playbooks, and training they need to execute at a high level. This includes onboarding programs, sales coaching, competitive battlecards, and product launch material.
• Analytics & Insights: Build the reporting infrastructure and dashboards that give GTM leadership clear visibility into pipeline health, funnel conversion, win/loss trends, and revenue forecasts. Translate data into decisions that improve win rates and deal velocity.

Senior Revenue Operations Manager

• Build the context: Embed with the two EMEA AEs to understand pipeline, top accounts, and where deals are stalling or accelerating
• Map the EMEA developer and AI builder ecosystem: key communities, Slack groups, Discord servers, meetups, and regional conferences worth owning
• Audit existing Vapi content and campaigns for EMEA relevance - identify gaps in localization, use case coverage, and regional resonance
• Identify 5–10 high-potential EMEA influencers, technical content creators, and community builders in the AI/voice/developer space and begin relationship development

GTM Engineer

Accounting Manager

• Own the end-to-end AP process, including invoice receipt, GL coding, approval routing, and payment execution
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with company policies
• Process payment runs (ACH, wire, check) and ensure accurate, on-time cash disbursements
• Support month-end close by preparing AP accruals, reconciling the AP subledger to the general ledger, and clearing open items
• Administer the corporate card program manage card issuance, spending limits, policy enforcement, and employee expense review
• Assist in the billing and invoicing process, ensuring customer invoices are accurate and issued on time
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections outreach as needed

• Get up and running in our existing e2e test framework and ship your first Playwright tests against the dashboard.
• File bugs that engineers fix, and develop a working point of view on where our coverage is weakest.
• Own release testing for at least one major product area (assistant builder, simulations, monitoring, knowledge base, or versioning), and earn engineers' trust to gate it.
• Meaningfully improve automated coverage in your area.
• Partner with engineers on test strategy for new features before they ship.
• Use AI coding agents to multiply your throughput on test scenarios and regression coverage.
• Operate as a full peer to engineers on the team, owning QA across the product surface without handholding.
