General Counsel

• Advise company management on complex matters across contractual, regulatory, compliance, financial, and legal areas, delivering concise, clear guidance on risk and the practical path forward.
• Structure, review, and negotiate the full range of commercial agreements that support Orbital’s operations — master service agreements, sales orders, change orders, commercial lease documents, vendor and supply contracts, and more. Delivery is central to this role: turning matters around cleanly and on time is part of the job.
• Support corporate governance and foundational legal matters, including employment law and market finance, and develop contract procedures and templates that improve how the business operates.
• Advising on hiring, termination, workplace policies and employment related issues.
• Advising the execs on legal matters, preparing board materials, supporting due diligence, maintaining corporate records, advising on fiduciary duties, and helping with matters like entity management and corporate structuring.
• Develop and execute our IP strategy, directing external counsel where appropriate while retaining ownership of the strategy.
• Build the legal infrastructure. Review all existing contracts and arrangements. Design and implement robust, scalable contract procedures, templates and workflows that let Orbital move faster as it grows.

Associate General Counsel

• Partner with the global sales teams as they negotiate commercial contracts (standard contracts for our products, NDAs, DPAs) - you will be the legal partner to them, ensuring we secure customers quickly, fairly and in a sustainable way.
• Partner with individuals and teams across the business around vendor contracts - ensuring contracts are reviewed with a legal lens and teams understand what they are signing up for when bringing on new vendors.
• Field legal questions from across the business - knowing when you can advise directly, and when external specialist legal advice is required. These will include queries from the People team (eg. HR and employment law), the Finance team (eg. stock option schemes, cap table management etc), the InfoSec team (eg. data protection).
• Build a proactive partnership with product — understanding the roadmap so legal risks are surfaced before features ship, pricing models change, or new suppliers come on board, not after.
• Anticipate where the business is heading — understanding Orbital's growth goals well enough to spot the legal risks and gaps on the horizon and get ahead of them before they become problems.
• Lead significant legal change projects — terms revamps, new commercial frameworks, major product or supplier transitions — work that touches multiple teams and needs a legal owner who can drive it end-to-end, not just advise on it.
• Train the wider team on where legal starts and ends, to contain escalations and ensure they are targeted and appropriate.
• Build a trusted and valued function, embedded across leadership of the business.
• Partner with Operations to ensure the legal function is operating efficiently, using AI and technology to scale with the company.
• Resource planning for the future team we might need and management of any external counsel required as extra support.

Senior Legal Counsel

Revenue Operations

• Own and optimize the full GTM tech stack (HubSpot, Apollo, Jiminny, Clay, Nook, and others)
• Design, build, and maintain HubSpot workflows, automation, and routing logic

• Own full-cycle GTM recruiting — from kick-off through offer — across sales, business development, marketing, and customer success.

• Partner with managers across the business to diagnose team challenges, surfacing deep insights that will shape our People Product roadmap.

• Own the owned-channel conversion engine — turning existing demand and our database into qualified leads, meetings and pipeline.
• Build and run lifecycle and nurture programs (email, automated journeys, segmentation) that move contacts from interest to opportunity.
• Own the website as a conversion asset post-launch to improve conversion rates: landing pages, forms, conversion tracking and continuous A/B testing.

• Define, document, and implement accounting policies under UK GAAP (FRS 102), including revenue and cost recognition for our SaaS contracts, across our software products and services (with secondary alignment to US GAAP for our US entity where required)
• Design and embed a rigorous internal control environment, including cost-accounting procedures and reconciliation workflows fit for higher transaction volumes
• Map, optimise, and enforce an airtight, end-to-end B2B order-to-cash and billing process, from quote through to cash collection and reconciliation
