Junior Remarketing Analyst

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Systematically download and process daily bank statements across all operating bank accounts.
• Input or upload bank transactions into the general ledger/accounting system.
• Ensure all transactions are posted to the correct ledger codes, cost centers, and accounts.
• Ensure all accounts have the correct cash movements between them to comply with our funder requirements
• Identify and accurately allocate incoming customer receipts (e.g., matching to outstanding invoices).

Finance Operations Specialist – Treasury

Analyst

• In this role, you will be the analytical engine of the team, supporting the senior members of the team and helping ensure our funding facilities are optimised.
• **Securitisation & public ABS Learning:** Support the management of our securitisation facilities, including the transition to public markets. This will involve helping with both rating agency and investor engagement (answering due diligence questions, analysing performance data etc.)
• **Technical Analysis:** Financial modelling, market analysis and manipulating large and at times complex data sets.
• **Transaction Reporting:** Help with the delivery of the sophisticated reporting requirements of our funders, focusing on asset performance and forecasting, including helping monitor transaction trigger levels.
• **Stakeholder Deliverables:** Handle ad-hoc data/ information requests and prepare high-quality spreadsheets and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
• **Strategic Alignment:** Collaborate with the broader team to ensure capital markets activities directly support the company’s overall growth agenda.

You’re not just attending meetings; you’re telling the story of a transition that is good for growth, investment and customer experience and of the proof points Octopus is building.
• **Change the debate.** The energy transition needs a new story. You’ll champion clean tech, flexible consumer demand and electrification, standing up to the old fossil fuel, expensive infrastructure narratives and showing institutions what the future actually looks like.
• **Spot the signals.** You’ll keep a watchful eye on the legislative horizon. We don't need a summary of every directive; we need to know exactly which files will help or hinder our growth, long before they become law.
• **Pick the fights that matter. **We can't be everywhere. You’ll have the discipline to say "no" to the noise and focus our firepower where it makes a real difference.
• **Translate for the business. **You’ll explain what’s happening in the bubble in plain language. You’ll guide our internal teams so they know who to talk to and when, making complex policy actionable.
• **Work with our businesses.** You will build an understanding of the different Octopus businesses and how they are impacted by and can help influence the EU agenda. You will help establish the priority policies to engage on and work with them to put the best case forward and get our voice heard.
• We keep our teams lean so we can move fast and make change happen quickly. This role is no different. You will be our only employee in Brussels, at least to begin with, but will draw in the expertise and influencing power from across our European businesses and the Group more generally. Along with a line manager in the Group’s Corporate centre, you will have the support of a Public Affairs Agency that will help you keep track of what is happening, assist in organising key events and where needed lend specialist support on particular policy topics.

• Create stuff: join our small but mighty content team to create scroll-stopping video and written social posts - think memes, campaign launches, easy to understand explainers. We don’t rely on external agencies and long-winded strategy decks, it’s on you to come up with ideas based on customer insight and make them happen.
• Listen and lurk: use social listening tools to predict wider trends, better understand our customers, our competition, the wider EV industry and climate. Supported by our customer care team, look for reactive opportunities to build engagement with Octopus EV.
• Measure impact: you’ll look at the data to help us test, learn and meaningfully improve our content performance.
• Keep the wheels turning: you’ll be responsible for getting our content from idea to feed. We don’t do long-term scheduling and content calendars. Instead with your finger firmly on the pulse you’ll prioritise our output week-to-week to keep it timely, fresh and impactful.
• Think bigger: create social-first content that can also be edited for other purposes e.g. in emails, shared by our sales teams
• Know our audiences in and out - and what excites them. Your focus will be on drivers - potential EV leasing customers, but you’ll also need to create content for people who can get their car through their employer (via salary sacrifice), and at times the decision makers in businesses who could join our salary sacrifice scheme.
