Paralegal

• Provide critical administrative and legal support to CRAB, including handling confidential materials.
• Acknowledge all new CRAB appeals, log all party submissions into CRAB’s internal tracking system.
• Receive and disseminate retirement decisions from DALA, mail and disseminate CRAB decisions and orders; circulate key documents to CRAB’s Chair and principal partners.
• Maintain CRAB’s calendar of all deadlines and events, notify parties, and update case dockets accordingly.
• Review party submissions for compliance with CRAB’s procedural standing orders and issue notices rejecting nonconforming submissions.
• Organize case and research files, summarize documents, and assist the Chair in preparation for board meetings.
• Draft various procedural and scheduling orders and notify parties of such orders.
• Respond to inquiries from litigants and draft responses to party correspondence.
• Compile records for filing in Superior Court, perform legal research, monitor legislation relating to the retirement laws, and respond to public records requests.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Paralegal, Contributory Retirement Appeal Board

• Provide day-to-day paralegal and administrative support to employees of the Gaming Enforcement Division (GED) as well as the Criminal Bureau.
• Research policy and legal matters pertinent to GED initiatives.
• Draft administrative, grand jury, and trial subpoenas, as well as witness summons, discovery, and preservation orders at the direction of prosecutors.
• Track referrals, investigations, and prosecutions for GED.
• Support grand jury work by preparing documents and analyzing returns to help develop investigations.
• Support litigation matters by creating discovery, as well as scheduling business and law enforcement witnesses.
• Analyze digital evidence in furtherance of investigations and prosecutions.
• Assist in the coordination of trainings and assembly of training materials.
• Organize and deposit seized monies, as well as track seizure and forfeiture processes.
• Maintain Office databases, such as the Criminal Bureau’s Usuary Database.
• Perform other duties, as required.

Paralegal – Gaming Enforcement Division

Attorney

• Lead and assist with complex consumer protection investigations and litigations involving entities and individuals in the health care sector
• Key investigative responsibilities include conducting interviews, obtaining documents and taking testimony through civil investigative demands, handling settlement negotiations, and preparing for litigation
• Litigation responsibilities include handling pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, trial, settlement, and all other aspects of litigation
• May have opportunities to join AGO civil litigation teams challenging federal actions that harm the Commonwealth and its residents
• May also work with Assistant Attorneys General from other states on complex cases relating to a variety of issues
• May be involved in health policy work, including monitoring trends related to the cost of health care in Massachusetts and drafting or reviewing proposed legislation

Assistant Attorney General – Health Care & Fair Competition Bureau

• The Assistant Attorney General will assume an existing caseload of substantive prosecutions and investigations.
• Handling new assignments that include initial review and screening of allegations, formal grand jury investigations, and prosecutions up to and including trial.
• Leading and coordinating the efforts of a prosecutorial team that typically includes a financial investigator, a state trooper, a victim/witness advocate, and support staff.
• Conducting joint investigations with other federal, state, and local referral agencies, prosecutorial organizations, and/or law enforcement agencies.
• Aiding the investigative and prosecutorial efforts of others within the Division.
• Providing leadership and oversight of other team members’ contributions to case prosecutions.

Assistant Attorney General – White Collar & Public Integrity Division

Video Editor

• Produce creative and engaging video content across the Office’s digital platforms
• Produce multiple videos weekly for the AGO’s social media platforms with an eye towards vertical video
• Collaborate with the Digital Director to ensure video content is aligned with the AGO’s messaging and digital priorities
• Script and produce direct-to-camera and explainer content
• Source and edit footage from live streams, news coverage, and events
• Stay on top of emerging trends, memes, and storytelling formats to keep the AGO’s communications relevant
• Edit short and long-form video content through the Adobe Creative Suite

Video Producer

• Work closely with our legal teams on a wide range of public interest issues
• Participate in training sessions, networking opportunities, and meaningful legal work that supports the AGO’s mission

Legal Intern, Summer 2026

Community Manager

• Manage and cultivate partnerships with community groups, organizations, and other stakeholders
• Maintain a visible presence in Western MA, including Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties by representing the Office and Division at public events, community meetings, and stakeholder gatherings
• Identify new opportunities to collaborate with community leaders and advocacy organizations throughout the region
• Educate the public on the AGO’s services and deliver trainings on topics such as consumer protection, scam prevention, worker’s rights, landlord and tenant rights
• Plan, organize and participate in internal and external events supporting cross bureau leadership and staff
• Provide general administrative and office support to the Springfield Regional Office
