• Lead and develop the Financial Crime Operations team handling investigations and unblocks.
• Own and track key KPIs, including Time-to-Unblock, investigation turnaround time, and QA accuracy.
• Manage operational queues, routing, and prioritization to ensure efficient execution.
• Maintain and enhance workflows, SOPs, and quality assurance processes.
• Partner with Product on rule refinement, fraud-detection improvements, and unblock experiments.
• Collaborate with Compliance and the MLRO on escalations, SARs, and regulatory reporting.
• Provide data-driven insights on false positives, alert quality, and investigation trends.
• Identify and address process inefficiencies using data and maintain dashboards for volumes, unblock times, QA scores, and SLAs.
• Implement operational improvements through the change-control framework.
• Manage communication with banking partners and law enforcement, ensuring timely, high-quality responses within SLAs.
• Support audits and assist Compliance with regulatory reporting.

• Own the local onboarding experience — coordinate first-day logistics and help new starters feel part of the LemFi community.
• Plan and deliver on-the-ground employee events (all hands, celebrations, team-building, volunteering, wellness days, etc.) to strengthen engagement and connection.
• Support local culture and communications, ensuring LemFi’s values come to life in the Nigeria office and beyond.
• Partner with the global People Team to roll out engagement, learning and well-being initiatives in Nigeria.
• Act as the first point of contact for employees locally — answering questions about policies, time off, travel or general support.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers (benefits, workspace and events) to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with Nigerian employment regulations in collaboration with the Senior People Operations Manager.
• Support local hiring logistics, scheduling interviews and helping candidates have a positive experience.
• Assist with HR documentation and compliance tasks where needed.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to help improve employee experience and ways of working at LemFi.

• Run direct payroll operations for various international legal entities (including US, Canada, Nigeria and UK), ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with company policies and local tax and labour regulations
• Oversee EOR payroll (e.g. for France, China, Philippines) in partnership with Deel and local vendors
• Support administration of global employee benefits programs (e.g. healthcare, pensions), ensuring accuracy, compliance and integration with payroll
• Ensure correct taxation of payroll and benefits according to country-specific regulations
