• Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, wage and hour laws).
• Monitor and interpret changes in employment laws and regulations; proactively recommend and implement necessary updates to policies, procedures, and practices.

• Ensure proper classification of employees (e.g., exempt/non-exempt) and adherence to wage and hour regulations.
• Review HR processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, leave administration) to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and HR teams to ensure alignment with compliance requirements.
• Partner with People Enablement to support and deliver training on HR compliance, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Educate managers and HR team members on compliance-related topics and best practices.
• Develop tools, resources, and guidance to support consistent and compliant HR practices.
• Ensure required compliance trainings (e.g., anti-harassment, workplace violence prevention) are implemented and completed in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, including establishing tracking, reporting, and retraining mechanisms.

Senior HR Compliance Specialist

Insurance

• Maximize client reimbursement through accurate and timely entry and processing of patient demographic information in accordance with client, company, and compliance standards.
• Using various defined resources along with sound judgment and critical thinking, enter direct data from EPIC and/or other hospital billing software into EMS|MC billing software ensuring adherence to client, company, and compliance standards.
• Check various insurance websites to discover and verify patient insurance maximizing reimbursement.
• Updating patient insurance and/or demographic information accurately from various databases.
• Ensure strict compliance with company standards regarding patient matching when adding patient information to avoid inaccurate updates.
• Provide proactive and routine feedback to Claims Management Supervisor regarding any deficiencies, variances, and/or other issues identified during the billing process, including variances with incoming inventory.
• Process all assigned pending and rejected claims in a timely and accurate manner.
• Exhibit strong customer service skills to build and maintain internal relationships in order to best address client needs.
• Meet or exceed contracted client service level agreements (SLAs) concerning turn-around-times and compliance standards on a consistent basis.

• Provide proactive and routine feedback to Revenue Cycle Manager regarding any deficiencies, variances, and/or other issues identified during the billing process, including variances with incoming inventory
• Process all assigned pending and rejected claims in a timely and accurate manner
• Process and distribute all front-end client reporting in a timely and accurate manner
• Exhibit strong customer service skills to build and maintain internal relationships in order to best address client needs
• Meet or exceed contracted client SLAs concerning billing turn-around-times and compliance standards on a consistent basis
