• Own and Lead The FP&A Function
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modelling across the UK and US.

Head of Financial Planning – Analysis

Account Manager

• Managing and growing a portfolio of US school partnerships:
• -Generating an increasing number of assistant and lead teacher roles that Zen will staff over time for each district, private center, and charter school.
• -Upselling Zen products and services.
• -Reporting on key trends and feedback from schools and working with our incredible Product team to implement that feedback
• -Being a responsive, central point of contact for all school partnership stakeholders.
• Managing an engaged portfolio of US educators, and getting them work in partner US schools:
• -Communicating daily with all newly onboarded educators to get them immediately into either a long-term or daily subbing role
• -Communicating with educators who are in an active role to ensure they are getting feedback from our school partners, are happy in the role, and problem solving when not to either keep them in the role or find them a new role
• -Coaching educators when relevant, and getting them to complete company-provided training so they can improve their performance in the schools Zen serves
• -This is a fast moving, high volume role that requires an equal mix of strategy, relationship building, and acting with urgency to fulfill both school and educator needs

• Calling teachers signing up for Zen Educate to quickly qualify, assess preferences, and schedule them in for interviews if they meet our criteria
• Conducting initial phone interviews with applicants to assess their suitability for our open roles
• Gaining a deep understanding of candidates' preferences while identifying the most suitable position
• Building value and excitement around Zen Educate’s mission and how we support in finding them the perfect role
• Helping guide candidates through our screening and document collection process, and diligently following up with candidates that need support throughout
• Building urgency and excitement when speaking with applicants to get them started with Zen Educate as soon as possible
• Working in a fast paced and ever changing startup environment that requires flexibility and adapting to change

Operations Associate

Sales

• Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Account Executives and BDRs to achieve and exceed revenue and activity targets
• Oversee pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and overall sales performance across your team’s territories
• Partner with RevOps to refine territory design, funnel metrics, and reporting to ensure scalable growth
• Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation initiatives and campaign execution to optimize funnel conversion
• Conduct regular 1:1s, deal reviews, and performance coaching sessions with AEs to identify strengths and development areas
• Own the hiring, onboarding, and continuous enablement and process refinement of your team, ensuring consistent alignment with Zen’s mission and sales methodology
• Analyze data to identify performance trends, refine playbooks, and share best practices across the team
• Act as a key voice between the field and leadership, surfacing market insights and feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategy

• Drive new business revenue by managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, consultative discovery, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiation.

Bookkeeper

• Own payroll for educators in the US and internal teams in US and Canada, paying c. 1500 educators weekly
• Ensure compliance with payroll deductions, filings, and reporting under US and Canadian labor and tax laws
• Respond to educator payroll inquiries including pay discrepancies, deductions, and tax withholdings
• Act as the face of finance to US schools and handle invoice queries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support educators
• Improve and streamline processes from payroll to invoicing
• Use Xero (accounting system) and Excel for payroll, reporting and process work

The Role
As a Junior Educator Recruitment Associate, you’ll be on the front lines of our hiring process -connecting talented paraprofessionals and substitute teachers with schools that need them. You’ll work closely with our experienced recruitment team, learning how to screen applications, conduct interviews, and match educators to roles where they can have the biggest impact.

This role is a great way to build skills in recruitment, sales, communication, and collaboration - all while working with a high-energy team in a rapidly scaling tech company that’s making a real difference in education. Our team works on a hybrid model, with 3 days per week WFH and 2 days in-office in each of our hub cities (Vancouver, Minneapolis and Chicago).

What You’ll Do
Qualify and interview applicants: Call educators as they sign up for Zen Educate, assess their experience and preferences, and schedule them for interviews when they meet our criteria. Conduct initial phone interviews to understand their background and match them to suitable roles before handing them off to recruiters.
Build value and excitement: Share Zen Educate’s mission and explain how we can help them find the perfect position.
Collaborate with the team: Work with recruiters to transition candidates smoothly through screening, document collection, and onboarding.
Make an impact: Help place amazing educators into classrooms, filling critical staffing needs in schools across the US.
Test and innovate: Experiment with new tools and systems - including AI technologies - to improve the way we recruit.
