Director

• This position is primarily responsible, under the supervision of the Aquatic Director, for assisting in the planning, organizing, directing, budgeting and evaluating those programs within his/her program area in accordance with the mission, purposes and polices of the association.
• Recruit, orient, train and supervise all staff, paid and volunteer, related to his/her area of responsibility.
• Act on behalf of the Aquatic Director in his/her absence and work within the guidelines of the aquatic policies.
• Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations and engage in active listening to build relationships and assist members in achieving goals.
• Responsible for recruiting, scheduling and supervising (in consultation with Aquatic Director) all lifeguard and instructor personnel.
• Work with Aquatic Director to develop, oversee and monitor Aquatics budget.
• Plan and schedule program facilities for the smooth functioning of daily operations and review staff, class, and pool scheduling.
• Work closely with the Aquatic Director in the execution of the Instructional swim programs; teach and/or guard as needed, up to 20 hours per week.
• Be available to assist with registration and answer questions from members, program participants and staff.
• Provide on-going training and development of aquatic personnel and oversee all required safety and quality training, drills, and documentation.
• Share responsibility for the care and maintenance of facility and related program equipment; assist in ordering equipment purchases and Aquatic/First Aid supplies as necessary.
• Maintain concise records essential for control, evaluation and reporting; record aquatic statistics, and distribute and collect program evaluations.
• Establish working relationships with community agencies, businesses, schools and other resources; aid in implementing special events and submit news articles regarding aquatics programs and special events.
• Participate in staff meetings as a member of the branch management team and remain current in required and voluntary training.
• All other duties as assigned or needed.

Associate Director, Aquatics

Manager

• Reporting directly to the Regional Facilities Director; responsible for overall physical condition and presentation of the YMCA branch to assure facilities are clean, safe and in good repair.
• General maintenance and repair of non-complex building systems, components, fixtures, and equipment.
• On call 24-hours a day and required to respond to all emergency situations.
• Perform general building and grounds maintenance: minor carpentry, cleaning, electrical, furniture/equipment assembly, landscaping, masonry, painting, plumbing, snow removal, supply and inventory control, and event preparations.
• Operate and document all building systems: fire alarm, fire sprinkler, security alarm, emergency lighting and signage, emergency egress, building access control, fuel distribution, elevators, generators, communications, disposal, sanitary, domestic water, plumbing, electric, heating, cooling, and ventilation.
• Contract maintenance and repair of building systems: scope development, competitive bidding, securing approvals, scheduling, implementation, directing repairs and maintaining records.
• Serve as primary liaison for compliance, permitting and certification requirements, including local, state and federal inspections and agencies.
• Collaborate with Aquatics Director to assure all pool, steam and sauna systems are functioning and assist with scheduling complex repairs and replacements.
• Inspect building envelope including masonry, concrete, EFIS, waterproofing, glazing, fire escapes, roofing, building entry and access for structural and physical integrity.
• Dotted-line responsibility to the Vice President of Facilities and potential involvement with the annual Capital Improvement Program.

Facilities Manager

Associate Director – Aquatics

• Support daily After School Operations under the direction of the Site Director.
• Assist in program preparations prior to school dismissal and lead daily activities that allow children to learn and play.
• Explore the community, participate in sports and swimming, and develop positive relationships with children.
• Emphasize personal safety and emotional well-being; make student safety a top priority.
• Interpret and model YMCA values to students, parents, families and staff; act as a positive role model.
• Plan and implement recreational and educational programs that emphasize group participation and choice.
• Use positive, constructive methods of discipline and reinforce consistent behavior guidance.
• Communicate respectfully, openly and effectively with staff, parents and children.
• Assist staff during daily tasks to ensure quality programming and support groups in need.
• Manage daily attendance records, support absence calls, and confirm group rosters; assist with Boston After School & Beyond attendance tracking.
• Report accidents and unusual incidents immediately and complete necessary documentation.
• Assist with planning and implementing daily activities, special events and Family Night activities; actively participate in openings, closings and extended hours.
• Attend all staff meetings and training sessions; assist in facilitation and incorporate training materials into daily work.
• Maintain and care for program areas and supplies; ensure responsible use of equipment and property.
• Abide by YMCA/EEC/school policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines and perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Assistant Site Director

Analyst

• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans for children in afterschool, camps, and enrichment services.
• Provide direct services including crisis support and triage with stakeholders as needed.
• Train and coach direct care staff on implementing behavior strategies and supports.
• Collaborate with families, educators, interdisciplinary teams, and serve as liaison between YMCA and school-based teams.
• Work in collaboration with the YMCA social workers/SEL team.
• Collect, analyze, and report behavioral data to inform interventions and program decisions.
• Maintain compliance with BCBA ethical guidelines and YMCA policies.
• Attend team meetings, trainings, and family consultations as scheduled.

BCBA, Board Certified Behavior Analyst

• Drive new membership sales, maximize retention, and lead/manage front desk welcome center staff to improve member engagement.
• Represent the YMCA in a manner in accordance with the mission and goals of the YMCA and report to the Executive Director.
• Plan all welcome center staffing based upon membership sales and revenue goals.
• Teach and train all staff members how to be a friendly and welcoming presence in the Y.
• Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations, checking in on their progress, and taking initiative to engage members.
• Meet and exceed monthly and annual membership sales goals.
• Conduct prospective member tours; demonstrate excellence in sales and closing techniques, telephone and in-person service; follow up daily with prospects.
• Use Listen First skills to build relationships with members, program participants and prospects.
• Model behaviors: make eye contact, greet members, call members by name, smile, and be willing to substitute shifts including opening, closing and weekends.
• Oversee renewals including sending billing statements with marketing flyer and tracking results in spreadsheets.
• Follow up with terminations and document results in excel spreadsheets.
• Assist in grass roots marketing including handing out flyers, working tables at community events, and attending special events.
• Perform program and camp registrations and membership sign-ups in Spirit, YConnect or electronic registration system.
• Perform cash handling duties: cashing out, balancing daily transactions, and dropping envelopes in safe.
• Respond to emergencies, assemble emergency equipment and assist in care of the victim.
• Attend all staff meetings and work as a team player; work some nights and weekends as assigned; perform other duties as assigned.

Director, Membership

• Coordinate staff engaging with members on the wellness floor through activities, programs and events.
• Work closely with Health & Wellness Director; Associate staff report to the Director.
• Model professional behaviors and provide direct member service including training Y clients.
• Lead small group training sessions and provide floor shift coverage.
• Ensure programs operate at the highest quality level for target markets.
• Train staff on systems usage including Expresso Interactive, Direct TV, and related media.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order; report non-functioning equipment and follow up on service within 24 hours.
• Create floor coverage schedule and manage coverage 100% of operating hours (108 hours per week).
• Complete and manage payroll for fitness floor staff to prevent overtime.
• Direct and influence staff on best practices and protocols.
• Assist Health and Wellness Director with driving personal training revenue to exceed branch year-end goal.
• Ensure floor staff have Par Q, daily cleaning list, member workout cards, Get Started appointment logs and related paperwork.
• Implement medically based wellness programs and design four quarterly Member Challenge Programs per year.
• Assist with special events planning and delivery (5K Family events, Healthy Kids Day, Monthly Expresso bike challenge, etc.).
• Attend and participate in YMCA of Greater Boston trainings and health and wellness staff meetings.
• Assist in branch fundraising efforts as requested.
• Work two opening shifts and one weekend shift per week; present a professional image and remain current in required trainings.
