About the role

  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans for children in afterschool, camps, and enrichment services.
  • Provide direct services including crisis support and triage with stakeholders as needed.
  • Train and coach direct care staff on implementing behavior strategies and supports.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, interdisciplinary teams, and serve as liaison between YMCA and school-based teams.
  • Work in collaboration with the YMCA social workers/SEL team.
  • Collect, analyze, and report behavioral data to inform interventions and program decisions.
  • Maintain compliance with BCBA ethical guidelines and YMCA policies.
  • Attend team meetings, trainings, and family consultations as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.
  • Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with children and youth with developmental, behavioral, or learning differences.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles, positive behavior supports, and inclusive practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, child-centered environment.
  • Must pass EEC background checks and meet YMCA child protection standards.
  • Experience working with trauma informed practices.
  • Preferred: Experience working in school, after school, camp, or recreational settings.
