About the role
- Develop, implement, and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans for children in afterschool, camps, and enrichment services.
- Provide direct services including crisis support and triage with stakeholders as needed.
- Train and coach direct care staff on implementing behavior strategies and supports.
- Collaborate with families, educators, interdisciplinary teams, and serve as liaison between YMCA and school-based teams.
- Work in collaboration with the YMCA social workers/SEL team.
- Collect, analyze, and report behavioral data to inform interventions and program decisions.
- Maintain compliance with BCBA ethical guidelines and YMCA policies.
- Attend team meetings, trainings, and family consultations as scheduled.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.
- Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with children and youth with developmental, behavioral, or learning differences.
- Knowledge of ABA principles, positive behavior supports, and inclusive practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, child-centered environment.
- Must pass EEC background checks and meet YMCA child protection standards.
- Experience working with trauma informed practices.
- Preferred: Experience working in school, after school, camp, or recreational settings.
