• Architect Growth Loops: Design, build, code, and deploy automated marketing workflows across SMS, email, ads, and in-app channels to drive worker sign-ups and retention.

Growth Marketing Engineer – Worker Experience

Account Manager

• Serve as the lead point of contact for all account management matters for retail clients, including staffing planning, escalations, and ongoing strategy
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with senior-level operations roles, store operations managers, district managers, HR leaders, and other key stakeholders
• Develop a deep understanding of each client's retail environment - including seasonal hiring surges, inventory events, store openings, and customer traffic patterns - to proactively meet their workforce needs
• Maintain and grow client contracts, identifying upsell and expansion opportunities across store locations, regions, or new job categories

• Own the P&L for our Events & Hospitality industry vertical, allocating spend across levers to achieve company goals
• Manage day-to-day marketplace operations, making sure we are matching supply and demand in all of our markets - and striving to make this more efficient through process improvements and better tooling
• Craft & execute on quarterly and yearly roadmaps to improve Hospitality performance in the long run, developing playbooks & product backlog

• Own the technical health, architecture, and administration of our full GTM tech stack: Salesforce (Flows, Custom Objects, Reports), Outreach, Nooks, Clay and Gong
• Maintain a clean, well-documented CRM data model that supports accurate pipeline reporting, revenue forecasting, and customer segmentation
• Serve as the internal Salesforce administrator and subject matter expert across the organization

• Newsjacking & Rapid Response: Monitor the news cycle relentlessly. When jobs reports, inflation data, or labor strikes hit the headlines, ensure Workwhile is immediately pitching a unique angle or data point to insert our brand into the coverage.

Corporate Communications Lead

Controller

• Full Cycle Management: Oversee the entire accounting function, including General Ledger, Payroll, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
• Data Integrity: Drive a high level of rigor in accounting accuracy and completeness. Partner with Data Science to ensure financial data in the ERP aligns perfectly with operational data sources (e.g., BigQuery/Metabase revenue tables).
• W2 & 1099 Payroll: Manage the complexity of high-volume weekly and daily payrolls for a dispersed workforce, ensuring distinct handling of W2 employees (taxes, benefits, withholdings) versus 1099 contractors.
• Revenue Recognition (ASC 606): Own the technical memos and policy for our evolving revenue streams. Specifically, manage the "Principal vs. Agent" gross-to-net calculations for marketplace revenue and implement subscription revenue recognition for the Newday SaaS product.
• Fintech & Treasury Accounting: Establish accounting workflows for the WorkWhile Wallet and W2 Early Pay initiatives. This includes managing daily liquidity for payroll funding, reconciling high-volume card transactions (Marqeta/Stripe), and accounting for potential credit losses on worker advances.
• Stock-Based Compensation: Manage the administration and ASC 718 accounting for equity plans.
• Audit Leadership: Lead the relationship with external auditors. Prepare schedules, manage fieldwork, and ensure the timely delivery of audited financial statements.
• Tax Compliance: oversee all federal, state, and local tax filings. Given our national footprint of W2 workers, manage nexus issues, payroll tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and sales tax implications for our SaaS products.
