EMEA Area Sales Manager – Gas Turbines

Engineer

• Take ownership of the end-to-end tendering process for service and equipment opportunities
• Review client specifications and translate requirements into practical, engineered solutions
• Carry out pump selection, sizing, and technical evaluations to ensure optimal performance and compliance
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
• Liaise with internal engineering, service teams, and external suppliers to build robust submissions
• Engage with customers to clarify requirements and support pre‑tender discussions where needed
• Analyse cost structures, risks, and margins to support sustainable business growth
• Maintain and improve tendering processes, tools, and technical documentation

Tendering Engineer

Field Engineer

• Responsible for conducting activities in our service warranty & spares department
• Assist our customer base including our reps, distributors and authorized service centers with their service and technical needs
• Leads initial field trouble shooting and expedites technical and engineering support as needed
• Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by consulting with, assisting and resolving requests, inquiries and complaints, both verbally and in writing
• Handles inbound calls effectively and efficiently through the use of proactive customer service
• Create a satisfying experience for the customer by using professional customer service techniques
• Resolve questions / concerns efficiently and effectively
• Initiates return authorizations and creates customer file
• Makes warranty determinations based on evaluations performed by in-house and outsourced authorized service center evaluation reports
• Logs reports back to manufacturing units for back charging warranty claims
• Expedite service and warranty orders through the system until completion
• Follows quality procedures according to ISO 9001
• Resolves customer complaints

Field Service Technician – HST

• Sales of all Sulzer services (repairs and maintenance of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, electric motors) as well as distribution of spare parts and retrofits for our own products as well as for third-party products
• Acquisition of new customers as well as maintenance and expansion of existing customer contacts in the sales area
• Technical elaboration and calculation of offers as well as negotiation up to the conclusion of the contract
• Ensure targeted monitoring, tracking and forecasting of open offers
• Developing the mid and long term sales plan and supporting the establishment of both annual and monthly sales budgets and objectives
• Responsibility for execution of the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with regards to opportunity identification through to contract award
• Attend and carry out client visits, seminars and presentations
• Liaising with relevant departments of the company and, most specifically with operations team to develop the bidding strategy for each project
• Establishment of both market and target customer strategies for the Company.
• Ensure that effective client contact, relationship building and management processes are in place
• Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies, especially in relation to international business
• Ensure application of Sulzer sales and commercial policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines

Area Sales Manager

Procurement

• Develop & implement sourcing strategies by analyzing the supply base, market condition in alignment with business requirement
• Strictly follow SQDC (Safety Quality Delivery and Cost)
• Coordinate between local Advance Procurement teams to ensure efficient support to subregional & cross regional projects
• Develop special support for High value Low traffic commodities like steam turbine, gear boxes & LOS etc for the sub-region
• Regulate the workload across the advance procurement teams for High to Moderate traffic finished goods
• Work with relevant teams to evaluate & select the source for assigned category of buyout
• Improve the sourcing and advance procurement processes for the Factored Goods like motors, seal & seal system, steam turbine, lube oil system etc for the sub region
• Lend support to tendering, sales and operational procurement teams in the sub region and beyond (for cross-regional projects)
• Specifically coordinate support for cross-regional tenders out of the AME region
• Manage the supply chain import FGs for India (e.g. Singapore suppliers)
• Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers on supply agreement
• Help to improve the company’s GP on projects involved
• Ensure early involvement of suppliers, validate conditions of supplier offer, ensure competitive pricing, scope of supply and accurate documentation
• Work closely with tendering and procurement functions in subregion and cross region as necessary
• Drive local & global initiatives tasked by management
