About the role
- Assist in the administration of all employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and COBRA notifications.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing clear and accurate information on plan options, eligibility, coverage, and claims.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and benefits platforms, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate benefits onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire orientations and exit interviews related to benefits.
- Work with benefit vendors and carriers to resolve employee issues and ensure service delivery standards are met.
- Support benefits open enrollment activities, including scheduling sessions, preparing materials, and processing elections.
- Assist in auditing benefits data and invoices to ensure proper billing and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation of benefit workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare reports and metrics related to benefits utilization, costs, and trends as requested.
- Support and monitor benefits-related system integration events.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations.
- Knowledge of employee benefits programs and relevant regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA).
- Experience with Workday preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
