About the role

  • Partner directly with the Director of Human Resources on strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage HR team members, fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, engagement, and compliance.
  • Oversee and monitor performance management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare-specific employment regulations.
  • Create and communicate fair and transparent HR policies.
  • Partner with leadership to design and deliver training and development programs.
  • Track and report HR metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR management experience, including at least 3 years in healthcare.
  • Startup experience required — ability to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of HR professionals (Senior HR Generalists, HR Generalists, and Learning & Development staff).
  • HR certification required (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, HIPAA, and ADA.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.).
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paycom.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Workable or similar.
