About the role
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance on policies, conflict resolution, and performance concerns.
- Conduct prompt, thorough, and objective investigations into workplace complaints, including harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
- Document employee relations issues accurately and maintain confidential records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Advise managers and supervisors on performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations to ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
- Analyze ER trends and metrics to develop proactive strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of employment laws and policies.
- Assist with the development and delivery of employee relations training for managers and staff.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required.
- Experience: 4+ years of employee relations or HR generalist experience, with a strong focus on conflict resolution and investigations.
- Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA) and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct sensitive investigations with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Experience with Workday and Google Suite highly preferred.
