About the role

  • Serve as support across the Public Relations department client roster and own select client projects
  • Create, deliver, edit, and optimize PR materials including executive bios, corporate newsletter content, online/digital content, and press releases
  • Conduct media outreach and maintain department media lists
  • Research news coverage and industry trends to develop fresh story ideas
  • Provide client service administration support: meeting agendas, recaps, client correspondence, monthly coverage reports, attending meetings, scheduling
  • Provide research and editorial support
  • Track press coverage and placements
  • Collaborate with branding, media relations, content, social media strategists, media buyers and designers

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in marketing, public relations and communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications, journalism, or related area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, accurate and detail-oriented
  • Accountability and reliability
  • Scrappy, creative, asks questions, provides status updates, and focuses on performance around vital results
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own time
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel and MS Office
  • Operates with a high degree of independence and knows when to seek advice
  • Displays work ethic and values of the firm
  • Takes initiative in building skills and knowledge
  • Continually seeks new ways to learn and improve
