Protect Life Michigan is seeking a part-time, mission-aligned Social Media Assistant to support the Social Media Manager in creating, curating, and publishing content across our social media platforms.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about the pro-life cause, with a flair for creativity, communication, and digital engagement.
The assistant will help execute PLM’s social media strategy by supporting daily content creation, engagement, and platform management.
What you'll do: Social Media Content & Scheduling — draft, design, and schedule content; maintain monthly calendar; format Instagram Stories, Reels, and TikToks; collect internal content.
Platform Management & Engagement — monitor channels, respond to comments, flag critical PR concerns, track engagement metrics for reporting.
Media — attend PLM events to capture photos/videos; organize and archive assets; support campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
Requirements
Agreement with and passion for the mission of Protect Life Michigan
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn)
Basic familiarity with Canva or willingness to learn; bonus if familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
Strong written communication skills with a sharp eye for spelling, grammar, and tone
Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time flexibly
Experience with content creation (e.g., personal or organizational social media, school projects, campaigns) is a plus
