About the role

  • Conduct quality virtual sales calls and manage full sales cycle for assigned territory
  • Visit assigned markets for elevator and pool emergency monitoring needs (estimated 15-20% in-field activity)
  • Maintain a minimum of two initial sales meetings per day
  • Spend two hours daily on new account hunting/prospecting
  • Manage referrals, proposals, agreements, pricing, and closing sales
  • Attend tradeshows, association events, and other market development efforts as needed
  • Work with marketing team to support tradeshow processes and materials
  • Own assigned territory with entrepreneurial mindset and control individual sales success
  • Engage mid- and high-level management influencers and decision makers; ask questions and listen to ensure solutions meet needs
  • Develop proposals that document and communicate total solutions to clients

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of B2B transactional sales experience selling a service-related solution
  • Skilled at generating sales opportunities through prospecting over the phone, partner referrals, association involvement, and marketing leads
  • Ability to balance and conduct sales efforts from your home office virtually, and spend approximately 15-20% of time in the field
  • MS Teams or Zoom video communication tools experience is a plus
  • Preferred experience with a documented sales process and sales methodology (i.e. SPIN)
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge rapidly
  • Positive attitude and ability to manage through challenges and change professionally
  • Naturally self-motivated, driven, and competitive
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and availability to travel when needed to your assigned territory
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM (we use Salesforce)
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization
