Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to identify, target, and secure contracts with federal, state, and local government agencies
Proactively identify new business opportunities, build a robust pipeline of qualified leads, and manage the sales cycle from initial contact to contract award
Lead the creation of compelling and compliant proposals, bids, and RFPs/RFQs, ensuring all requirements are met and submissions are timely
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key government officials, contracting officers, and other crucial stakeholders to foster trust and future business
Stay current with government regulations, funding programs (e.g., NEVI), and emerging trends in the EV charging sector to provide expert guidance to clients
Work closely with the sales, engineering, product, and legal teams to ensure proposals are technically sound, accurately priced, and legally compliant
Track sales activities, provide regular progress reports, and forecast revenue to senior management
Represent the company at relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our solutions and expand our professional network
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with a significant portion dedicated to government contracting
Demonstrated success in securing multi-million dollar contracts with government entities
In-depth knowledge of the government procurement process, including GSA schedules, RFPs, and RFQs
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
