About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to identify, target, and secure contracts with federal, state, and local government agencies
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, build a robust pipeline of qualified leads, and manage the sales cycle from initial contact to contract award
  • Lead the creation of compelling and compliant proposals, bids, and RFPs/RFQs, ensuring all requirements are met and submissions are timely
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key government officials, contracting officers, and other crucial stakeholders to foster trust and future business
  • Stay current with government regulations, funding programs (e.g., NEVI), and emerging trends in the EV charging sector to provide expert guidance to clients
  • Work closely with the sales, engineering, product, and legal teams to ensure proposals are technically sound, accurately priced, and legally compliant
  • Track sales activities, provide regular progress reports, and forecast revenue to senior management
  • Represent the company at relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our solutions and expand our professional network

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with a significant portion dedicated to government contracting
  • Demonstrated success in securing multi-million dollar contracts with government entities
  • In-depth knowledge of the government procurement process, including GSA schedules, RFPs, and RFQs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
