About the role
- Establish professional relationships with librarians and other key personnel in assigned territory
- Cultivate and expand Junior Library Guild services in assigned territory
- Manage renewals and pursue new business territories
- Meet and exceed daily, monthly, and quarterly KPIs and sales goals
- Provide outstanding service to customers and ensure best books reach young readers
- Engage, persuade, and close deals; practice active listening and strong communication
- Travel in-person via car or plane up to 10% of the time
Requirements
- Previous experience and comfort in commission-based sales role
- Previous experience with monthly and yearly goals and quotas
- At least 2 years inside sales experience with consistent quota achievement
- Previous experience working both renewals and new business territories
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)
- Previous experience working with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce
- Previous experience working in the K12 school system with a focus on selling to librarians a big plus
- Results driven; exhibits curiosity, collaboration, and coachability
- Practices active listening, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to engage, persuade and close a deal
- In-Person travel via car or plane up to 10% of your time
