About the role
- Own a defined region as the sole RVP and establish market leadership
- Prospect and drive business development: secure 10+ meetings/week with business owners
- Execute consultative sales using Cogent’s Discovery Process to uncover profitability opportunities
- Serve as market leader and brand ambassador engaging business owners and stakeholders
- Manage and grow a strategic sales pipeline while maximizing client-facing appointments
- Performance-driven role measured by prospecting, conversion, and revenue generation
- Aggressive activity expectations: minimum 35 prospect touches/week and one Discovery commitment weekly
- Role requires significant travel within territory (up to 75% overnight)
Requirements
- 10+ years of executive-level, consultative B2B sales experience
- Expert prospector with a strong track record of engaging business owners and closing deals
- Autonomous, high-energy hunter who thrives in a competitive environment
- Advanced CRM and software skills for proposals and presentations
- Ability to travel within territory for in-person meetings (up to 75% overnight travel)
