• Design, build, and own the high-performance services that execute our lending strategy.
• Own projects end to end, from scoping and design to execution. Lead multi-engineer projects, coordinating with analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Enhance our offerings to meet the needs of repeat customers, improving their access to tailored lending solutions.
• Design and maintain robust, flexible, and maintainable systems to ensure scalability and fast-paced development.
• Embrace a culture of experimentation, using trial and error to uncover insights, refine approaches, and grow your technical and strategic skills.
• Work iteratively, supported by high test coverage, and contribute to the team’s frequent deployment cycles (averaging more than once per day).

Back End Engineer

Paralegal

• Draft legal correspondence with support from Senior Paralegals
• Work closely with team members in Collections and Litigation to ensure clerical order across the department, facilitating positive customer outcomes
• Handle inbound and outbound correspondence for the department
• Collection and delivery of physical post each day
• Assist Collection Managers & Paralegals with referrals to third parties, such as Solicitors, High Court Enforcement Officers and Insolvency Practitioners
• File records and log incoming mail
• Draft letters as part of the legal process
• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team
• Keep accurate system records of activities, observations and outcomes within the Collections and Litigation processes

Full-stack Engineer

• Build APIs, user interfaces, and ecommerce plugins that help suppliers get paid fast.
• Shape the end-to-end experience for buyers and suppliers, using data to guide improvements and measure impact.
• Work closely with product, design, operations, and other teams to deliver high-quality, user-focused features.
• Improving checkout conversion: Testing different UX approaches and payment options to reduce friction at checkout and increase conversion for sellers using iwocaPay.

Analyst

• Analyse data and contribute to the development of credit models for the enhanced underwriting segment
• Work with analysts, data scientists, and senior stakeholders to shape iwoca’s lending strategy
• Build expertise in the credit domain and develop analytical skills through exposure to different experimental approaches and complex analysis
• Practice turning data into information, and information into insights, so that stakeholders can deliver improvements with real customer and business impact
• Monitor and refine risk models to improve decision-making and portfolio outcomes
• Analyse portfolios and tests to investigate credit performance, identify drivers of change, and adapt lending strategies

Risk Analyst – Credit Risk Modelling

• Hybrid in London (UK) or Remote within the UK
• Lead the delivery of well-defined projects involving many stakeholders and systems.
• Go beyond the code to develop a deep expertise in the fintech team’s domain, understand our core financial products and our stakeholder needs to become a trusted technical advisor to the business.
• Perform detailed technical scoping and prototyping to support feasibility testing and decision making.
• Architect and implement scalable solutions for complex challenges, such as building a new ledger system or integrating real-time payments.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear, actionable technical plans that guide the team’s work.

Senior Back End Engineer, FinTech

Collections

• Manage your own customer portfolio, speak with customers, and negotiate solutions that are optimal for both the customers and iwoca.
• Decide independently, within the framework of internal guidelines, on the best approach to find solutions with customers.
• Act as the interface between commercial dunning and judicial collection proceedings.
• Analyse the financial situation of customers and develop appropriate strategies to provide the best possible support.
• Collaborate with paralegals, external lawyers, Account Managers, Credit Analysis, and other iwoca teams on complex cases.
• Improve collaboration and maintain relationships with stakeholders (lawyers, courts, insolvency administrators).
• Serve as a role model for company values and help shape office culture.
• Work on cross-functional projects to optimise and implement processes and manage projects alongside daily work.

Senior Collections Agent

Performance Marketing

• Set up new campaigns and ad groups in Google Ads and Meta Ads based on strategic decisions
• Monitor campaign performance and budgets daily to detect anomalies or over/underspending
• Execute bulk edits and uploads using Google Ads Editor
• Conduct ongoing keyword research and hygiene, including analyzing search term reports and adding negative keywords
• Prepare and format weekly performance reports to support strategic decision-making
• Assist with in-depth analyses by providing and preparing relevant data
• Ensure Looker dashboards are functional and up to date
