• Collaboration with physicists, opto-mechanical, mechanical, electrical and software engineers to lead the development of optical systems for quantum sensing and computing
• From source to atom: Lead and execute the process from requirements and design to assembly and test for optical systems spanning laser distribution, modulation, delivery and imaging.
• Work at the component level up through to large sub-systems containing hundreds of precisely aligned optical elements.
• Optimise, analyse and tolerance optical designs using computational methods.
• Use simulation tools to guide design decisions and communicate findings to project leaders both verbally and through design documentation.

Project Manager

• Own and maintain the integrated project plan, including milestones, schedules, dependencies, risks, actions, budgets, and deliverables.
• Partner with technical leads to align engineering plans with contractual and business requirements, translating them into clear actions, owners, deadlines, and completion criteria.
• Work with the technical team to identify critical paths and help deliver on time and on budget.
• Coordinate execution across technical, operations, supply chain, IT, facilities, finance, legal, commercial, vendor, and customer teams.

Project Manager, Quantum Computing Systems

General

• Design, build, calibrate and maintain Quantum Computers based on neutral atoms.
• Participate and/or lead Research and Development projects for laser systems, Quantum Processing Units, quantum gate protocols, etc. for Quantum Computers.
• Create, test, and validate mathematical models of atomic physics behavior, and use the results to inform system design by translating high-level system requirements into specialized engineering subsystems.
• Self-start and successfully execute on a new R&D activity given a well-defined goal and constraints (e.g. resources, timeframe): gather requirements from stakeholders, drive definition of solution space, drive project execution.
• Develop, test, run, and debug software for conducting experiments and system tuning in production.
• Design, assemble, and test laser and optical systems.
• Ownership of subsystems to maintain high availability and high performance.

Quantum Physicist

Payroll

• Review and reconcile stock option exercises, restricted stock vesting events, RSU releases, ESPP transactions, and other equity compensation activities.
• Calculate and validate taxable income associated with equity transactions.
• Reconcile reports from equity administration platforms JP Morgan Workplace Solutions to payroll records.
• Ensure proper payroll tax withholding for nonqualified stock option (NSO) exercises, RSU vesting, ESPP disqualifying dispositions, and other taxable equity events.
• Coordinate with payroll providers, brokers, and finance teams to ensure equity transactions are accurately reflected in payroll.
• Reconcile shares withheld for taxes and cash remitted by brokers.
• Support accounting and reporting requirements related to stock-based compensation payroll transactions.
• Prepare and maintain payroll account reconciliations, including: Payroll tax liabilities, Wage and withholding accounts, Benefit deductions, Equity compensation payroll transactions, Payroll clearing accounts.

Payroll & Equity Specialist

Mechanical Engineer

• Create and revise CAD models and mechanical drawings for QGG parts, tooling, fixtures, brackets, covers, adapters, and low-complexity assemblies.
• Support opto-mechanical, structural, thermal/mechanical, APPSH build, and AI&T tooling needs under direction from senior engineers and IPT leads.
• Develop drawing packages with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, notes, and inspection features.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up thinking appropriate to the part function and manufacturing method.
• Design for manufacturability, assembly, inspection, cleanliness, handling, and integration constraints.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve drawing questions, fabrication issues, and fit/function concerns.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Perform detailed monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve all reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure all deadlines are met and financial data is complete and accurate.
• Conduct financial statement analysis to identify trends and variances, providing insights to the accounting and finance leadership team.
• Collaborate with the Technical Accounting Manager and Director of Financial Reporting to implement new accounting policies and treatments.

• The Photonics Technical Lead (PTL) plays a strategic role in shaping and advancing Infleqtion's integrated photonics capabilities.
• Responsible for developing and executing the photonics roadmap across a portfolio of projects spanning photonic integrated circuits (PICs), laser systems, and integrated photonic subsystems for quantum technologies.
• Collaborate extensively with multidisciplinary teams across Infleqtion's UK, US, and Australian operations.
• Oversee technical project execution, leading photonics research and development activities, managing technical personnel, developing external partnerships.
• Identify opportunities to transition photonics technologies into commercial products.
• Set technical objectives, assess feasibility, manage technical risks, and support project delivery.
• Present technical updates, milestone reviews, design reviews to stakeholders.
• Lead the design, simulation, layout, fabrication, testing, and packaging of silicon photonics PICs.
• Work with foundry partners, III-V gain chip suppliers, and packaging companies to develop and integrate photonic devices.

Photonics Technical Lead

Engineer

• Develop, test, and characterise optical frequency comb systems for quantum technology applications.
• Support design and testing of photonic components relevant to comb generation, including resonators, lasers, modulators, passive devices, and integrated photonic circuits.
• Build and operate optical test setups for frequency comb characterisation, stabilisation, and performance validation.
• Perform laser characterisation, including optical spectra, frequency noise, relative intensity noise, linewidth, and stability measurements.
• Characterise modulated laser systems, including high-speed waveform measurements and RF/optical measurement setups.
• Develop automated test methods and data analysis workflows for frequency comb and photonic device characterisation.
• Collaborate with integrated photonics, quantum systems, electronics, and software teams to integrate frequency comb technologies into larger systems.
• Work with external foundries, suppliers, and packaging partners as needed to support device development and evaluation.
• Document experimental results, generate technical reports, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
• Support risk assessments, safe operating procedures, and good laboratory practice for optical and laser-based systems.

Frequency Comb Photonics Engineer

• Analyze and interpret complex design requirements, including reference to various industry standards.
• Apply creativity and resourcefulness to deploy both established best practices and develop non-traditional methods to satisfy novel project demands.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and documentation packages for all designs
• Perform engineering analysis to guide design decisions and communicate that analysis to project leaders both verbally and through documentation.
• Contribute to technical reviews and project status meetings as the technical design contributor and/or lead.
• Assemble prototype units and develop assembly procedures for higher volume production.
