• Responsible for the effective marketing of insurance risks to companies
• Assist in the analysis of line of business and insurance company production trends and make recommendations to correct deficiencies

Marketing Representative – Middle Market

General Counsel

• Monitor and maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws affecting health and welfare benefit plans, including ACA, ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, COBRA, HIPAA, state insurance mandates, and emerging state/local requirements.
• Collaborate with HUB's National Employee Benefits Senior Counsel and regional compliance practices on client-facing compliance initiatives and thought leadership content.
• Create compliance tools, checklists, and educational resources to support account teams and clients.
• Draft compliance bulletins and legal updates on legislation, regulations, and judicial developments affecting employee benefit plans.
• Maintain and grow compliance resource libraries and tracking systems for use by legal, compliance, and business teams.
• Provide legal advice and compliance support to employee benefits account teams, regional compliance practices, and senior leadership.
• Develop and deliver training programs to internal staff, regional compliance practices, and clients on emerging employee benefit trends and compliance requirements.
• Partner with marketing and business development teams on thought leadership materials that position HUB as a trusted advisor.
• Support HUB's internal benefit plans through plan design assistance, compliance reviews, and coordination with benefits administration teams.
• Support Legal team members on ERISA matters related to corporate transactions, retirement and private wealth services, and strategic initiatives.

ERISA Counsel

Account Manager

• Supports the delivery of excellent customer service to clients regarding insurance, billing, and administrative questions
• Focuses on processing client requests, handling routine service tasks, and escalating complex or at-risk situations to the Team Lead or Producer
• Professionally answers phones and handles callbacks in a timely manner
• Receives incoming calls from customers regarding billing questions, basic policy inquiries, endorsement requests, and other routine service needs
• Acts as a triage point, connecting clients with the appropriate party – sales, retention, Team Lead, or other departments – when matters fall outside the scope of this role
• Processes client endorsement requests following agency standards and procedures
• Escalates coverage recommendation questions or complex changes to the Team Lead or Producer
• Develops and maintains relationships with agency clientele to ensure service needs are met while adhering to agency standards and procedures

Personal Lines Assistant Account Manager – First Call Resolution

• Service day to day client needs including fielding phone calls, email, and other communication relative to coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc.
• Manage the execution of all aspects of client renewal process including obtaining updated information, marketing, terms and pricing negotiation, quote review, presentation of renewal numbers to the Producer and the client (where applicable) and invoicing
• Review quote documents to ensure all insurance requirements are included in quote proposal
• Manage client relationship ensuring satisfaction
• Manage and delegate work as needed to Associate Account Managers I and II to ensure their progress and workload is appropriate

Account Manager, Commercial Lines

• Communicate with associates, clients and carriers via phone and email to provide answers to questions or concerns relevant to commercial lines policies and products

Operations

• The Operations Manager position is a supervisory position that leads and manages the operational non-sales functions and development of the department and office locations for Commercial Lines team.
• Maintains a book of business, providing professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
• Expected to travel between Charleston, SC and Greenville, SC.
• Travels on company business as required.
• Meets regional Operational standards as outlined by HUB Corporate.
• Manages non-sales employees and functions within the department or location.
• Champions communication of goals, vision, and procedures developed by the leadership teams.
• Manages office environment and champions the creation and continuation of a culture of teamwork.
• Works with Operational Team Leaders, Accounting, Human Resources, and others to manage employees and implement regional projects and directives.
• Provides assistance in the recruiting and hiring process and participates in the new hire onboarding process.

• Establishes and maintain strong business relationships with clients and insurance carriers
• Serves as client point of contact for day-to-day eligibility, claims, billing and benefit administration inquiries
• Attends industry related continuing education training and courses
• Prepare and/or peer review (and deliver, if applicable) the EB Comp Disclosure.

Account Manager – Employee Benefits

• Services and maintains accounts while providing professional and prompt support to clients.
• Works independently and cooperatively with Producers and the entire client team to deliver all HUB services to assigned clients throughout the policy cycle.
• Acts as main, day to day point of contact for clients, responds both professionally and promptly to all inquiries.
• Supports the Account Executive in executing strategies, facilitating the renewal process, preparing materials/reports, ensuring internal systems are up to date (Benefit Point and BUS) and managing/coordinating client work across the account team.
• Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve any service needs or marketing initiatives, for example eligibility, billing, policy interpretation, and contract review.
• Manages, organizes, and conducts client meetings when necessary.
• Manages open items log - ensure outstanding items closed in timely manner.
• Key contributor of the critical path work for clients: Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of other HUB products and services.
• Oversees open enrollment assistance and communications.
• Manage new client or new line of coverage implementation.
• Stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact clients.
• May travel for client meetings up to 25% of the time.
