Production Engineer

• Operate the Production Line with an ownership mentality focused on improving performance, reducing waste, and improving quality.
• Drive the day to day operations of the production line.
• Provide feedback on the training/certification program of manufacturing personnel.
• Participate in troubleshooting and solving problems with existing equipment/processes/products.
• Improve, modify and upgrade processes to reduce costs and enhance quality to meet customer satisfaction.
• Identify methods to reduce variation in the processes.
• Make recommendations and implement improvements in product quality.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules and ensuring the safety culture.
• Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and acts on deficiencies.
• Develop a strong technical understanding of mechanical equipment used in a manufacturing environment (drives, motors, sensors, pumps, valves, etc.).
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operating at OEM specifications.
• Assist in development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures for all processes.
• Understand process and process equipment specifications, processing methods and procedures that are critical to line performance.
• Maintain effective communication with all persons involved with or affected by assigned responsibilities.
• Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing.

Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and deploy data ingestion and egress solutions to meet evolving business and analytics requirements
• Participate in defining data standards, governance practices, and warehouse architecture models
• Partner with data owners and department leaders to design data models and establish protocols for accessing and analyzing production data
• Contribute to the development and refinement of data management policies, procedures, and best practices
• Identify gaps and improvement opportunities within data engineering processes and platforms, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders
• Analyze existing BI and EDW architecture and recommend enhancements to support scalability, performance, and growth
• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, transformations, and data models
• Collaborate with application development teams to design and manage data queries, procedures, and integrations
• Monitor data warehouse performance, including stored procedures and query execution, and implement efficiency improvements
• Diagnose and resolve data access, quality, and performance issues across the data platform
• Develop and maintain change control, testing, and deployment processes for data model and pipeline changes
• Implement and promote data quality, validation, and monitoring practices
• Define and maintain data definitions and metadata for new and existing database objects
• Collaborate with business users, analytics teams, and IT partners to ensure data solutions align with business needs
• Create documentation, standards, and reusable routines to enable best-practice use of data tools
• Provide guidance and support to data consumers to improve data literacy and effective data usage

Customer Support

• Manage daily order entry, maintenance, and reporting through various portals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams including sales, procurement, warehouse, logistics and manufacturing to ensure timely and professional service
• Maintain customer accounts, item setup, and support demand forecasting
• Communicate with customers via email to address inquiries, service options, and coverage solutions
• Consult with customers to assess needs and recommend appropriate service and fulfillment options
• Utilize Retail Link (Walmart) to analyze orders and resolve issues
• Partner with finance to resolve shipping deductions
• Collaborate with warehouse and manufacturing teams to ensure order compliance, productivity, efficiency, and adherence to specifications
• Monitor fulfillment and manufacturing performance metrics related to customer orders
• Proactively resolve customer issues with empathy to improve satisfaction
• Cross-train and provide support for other Customer Service Representatives

Customer Service Representative

Engineer

• The Process Engineer provides technical leadership for Departmental Manufacturing and Packaging processes that drive significant improvement in overall equipment effectiveness and operational excellence.
• Partners closely with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance on introduction and integration of new products and processes.
• Specify, design, and execute a portfolio of projects focused on Capacity, Process and Cost Improvements requiring cross-functional partnering across multiple disciplines within the organization.
• Identify, analyze and solve manufacturing problems by recommending, evaluating and executing alternative cost-effective solutions that cover a variety of situations.
• Develop and lead Engineering projects designed to reduce waste, improve process capability, process reliability, increase OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), improve quality and manage capacity as required.
• Develop data acquisition and performance measuring techniques to gather and analyze critical data necessary to execute actions that improve product cost, quality and manufacturing reliability.
• Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
• Plan, resource and establish priorities and sequences for OEE improvement projects by Design of Experiments (DOEs) and related tools to optimize manufacturing process performance.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develop recommendations and plans accordingly.
• Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
• Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
• Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.

Process Engineer – Dry Sweeteners

Manager

• Directs and coordinates 2-5 food scientists and product developers.
• Acts as a player/coach in driving the project load of the product development team to completion while executing personal product/process development projects.
• Inspires product development team to achieve high performance and excellence in all facets of the product development cycle.
• Provides leadership in the areas of food science and product development with employees, suppliers, partners and customers.
• Designs dairy and plant-based beverage solutions in both powder and liquid formats (RTD and Concentrates) based on targeted flavor profile, texture, color, shelf life and nutritional content while maintaining adherence to government and industry standards.
• Supports Operations and Quality through training, day to day troubleshooting, monitoring pilot and commercial scale up trials and first 3 production runs on all new products.
• Supports Supply Chain team on the evaluation and verification of ingredients in inventory.
• Drives cost optimization of product portfolio with procurement and ingredient vendors and through reformulation initiatives.
• Develops product specifications and ensures that product labeling complies.
• Establishes broad understanding of all current products, projects and formulations.
• Manage and review data and report trends and findings to organization.
• Assure all activities are following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), GMP’s and other Company policies and procedures.

Senior Manager, Research & Development

• Lead all maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of packaging, blending and CIP systems
• Oversee all aspects of maintenance including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, maintenance and shutdown scheduling, spare parts strategy
• Ensure maintenance function operates with clear and open communications
• Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget
• Manage all outsourced contractors as needed and all other duties as assigned

Maintenance Manager

Full-stack Engineer

• Develop deep expertise in all processing operations to drive effective troubleshooting, robust process design, effective training, and reliable operations.
• Drive knowledge transfer and development of more junior engineers through engagement in rigorous root cause analyses, process optimization exercises, and startup activities.
• Establish processing standards to be used for current and future operations.
• Design processing systems and set equipment specifications to deliver desired performance for commercial manufacturing of new products.
• Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies.
• Provide recommended solutions to address these issues.
• Improve processes to reduce costs, reduce variation, and enhance quality to meet customer expectations.
• Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Build a network of internal and external experts to stay abreast of new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain effective communication with all involved parties.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with all government laws and regulations.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules and helping improve the safety culture.
