Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift
Heartland Food Products GroupAGRO maintenance technician responsible for maintenance and repair of production equipment at a Stevia Extraction facility in Florida. Working on 3rd shift with a focus on preventive maintenance and reliability.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively perform all condition based and preventive maintenance work to OEM standards.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair/ replace simple to complex problems in plant production equipment.
- Installation of new equipment.
- Analyze line performance data and provide line improvement support based on findings and analysis.
- Understand the Theory of Operation for all pieces of equipment in area of responsibility.
- Document all work order information within Computer Maintenance Management System per best practices.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Actively participate in Plant Initiatives and Improvement teams
- Support technical training to Operators and specific training to allow them to perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Provide recommendations to spare part stocking levels.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong Mechanical and Electrical skills
- Experience trouble shooting complex control systems using a (PLC)
- Ability to read and understand P&ID and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with CMMS and Production workflow/controls systems.
- Knowledge of packaging, conveyance, liquid and powder manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Knowledge of rigging for removal and installation of equipment.
- Ability to be self-managed, scheduling and performing work unsupervised, reliable, motivated, dedicated, and committed.
- Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
- Excellent safety, job performance and attendance records
- Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred
