About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Strategic Sourcing team by assisting with basic sourcing, reporting, market tracking, and supplier coordination activities.
  • Help maintain organized data, improve visibility to packaging costs and supplier performance, and support ongoing sourcing projects across direct material packaging categories.
  • Help gather and organize supplier quotes, bids, and pricing sheets for packaging materials.
  • Track monthly market movements for key packaging inputs like resin, corrugate, paperboard, and aluminum.
  • Maintain basic pricing trackers, savings logs, and PPV files.
  • Update sourcing project trackers so timelines, owners, and status are current.
  • Support RFI/RFP preparation by compiling supplier lists, bid inputs, and comparison tables.
  • Support supplier scorecards by gathering delivery, quality, and service data.
  • Prepare draft materials for supplier business reviews, including charts and summary slides.
  • Follow up on open action items with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with packaging specification files, version control, and document organization.
  • Help coordinate packaging artwork, print proofs, and pre-press routing with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Track milestones for new product launches to help ensure packaging is ready on time.
  • Research potential secondary suppliers and organize basic capability information.
  • Perform general data clean-up and file management for sourcing, supplier, and packaging records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Working towards a degree Supply Chain Management in field.
  • Will have completed their Sophomore year by the time of the start of the internship (preferably will have completed their Junior year)
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proficient command of English and strong communication skills required
  • Previous experience in a quality or research lab environment a plus
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment a plus
  • Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend
  • Must possess visual acuity to document company records
  • Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds
