Accounting Manager

• Direct all aspects of ceded and assumed reinsurance accounting, including treaty and facultative processing, recoverables, payables, settlements, and Schedule F reporting.
• Manage reinsurance accounting operations in EAS and NetSuite general ledgers; oversee journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and reporting both externally to our reinsurance partners and internally to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee use of reinsurance accounting software for bordereaux, statement reconciliations, and recoverable tracking; partner with Tech to optimize integrations with the GL.
• Drive an efficient, accurate monthly/quarterly close process; review reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support GAAP and statutory financial reporting, including NAIC filings; serve as a primary contact for auditors and reinsurers.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead initiatives to automate and streamline reinsurance workflows, enhance data integrity, and strengthen internal controls.

• Own monthly recognition and reconciliations for written/earned premium, unearned premium, commissions, losses/LAE, and related accruals
• Drive an accurate, timely month-end/quarter-end close

• Coordinate premium tax data and filings support
